Now I understand following coaches to a point but not a player. These don't do enough that interests me to follow them. Ya know to each their own. Gotta run, I'm playing 9 before it gets dark

Whoa, watch out for this guy. He is the Joe Morgan of volnation. He knows all and is always right.. just because you're a wannabe Tiger Woods and your average round score is 115, doesn't mean its wrong for people who like Eric Berry and Tennessee football to follow them. Go work on hitting the fairway instead of flaming people on here for pointless crap.

Its a damn hobby....following a kids daily life is not a hobby. If you go watch practice or take in a game, thats different, but to sit by a computer or your phone all day and wait for some kid you don't even know to tell you he just hit the weights or he has to take a crap. Thats pathetic
I didn't call following someone on Twitter a "hobby" and I equally agree that the thought of viewing twitter or an identical service as a "hobby" is lame.

Follow his life? Ha! Hardly. When you click to "follow" him, his updates just pop up with others' updates whenever you choose to see them. I click update when I have time and I don't see any more than those who post their updates want their followers to see.

Have you even used Twitter before? I have it on my phone and to see updates it only takes maybe 5 seconds tops. I go to Twitter app, click the Blackberry ball, select "friends' timeline", and boom all the people I'm following pop up with updates. If Berry has an update it will pop up somewhere between all the ESPN, Bruce Pearl, GoVolsXtra, college coaches, pro football player, or bands/artists updates.

It requires about as much time and attention as typing a text message or checking an e-mail on the phone.

many people(not me) believe that golf is a sport for sissies. you do what you like and let other people do what they like and mind your own business.

I check in on EB's FB status occasionally but haven't signed up for twitter yet....nothing wrong with either imo.

You gave him way more of an explanation than I would have. It's no different than coming here for news of the Vols.

Berry Tweets are awesome!

We need to get those worked into the Game Thread this fall. He's so fast he can tweet during plays and still make tackles and interceptions.

I'm glad to hear Evans is doing well. I have really been impressed with him myself. He is a sure tackler, sticky cover man, and breaks on the ball excptionally well.

Art evans can shut down 1/2 the field. What more can a safety ask for???
QUOTE]

I like this one. He's mentioned it before in interviews. On there Cedric Houston comments and asks how good he really is. Berry's answer is something like, well I've worked with him every off season since I've been here, and he's the one who taught me how to play corner. Makes you wonder why Art hasn't seen the field. Did the former regime really like seeing this all the time...

EDIT: trying to find the pic of Marsalous Johnson on his knees after tackling Tebow
