Eric Berry (The best weve ever had in the secondary)

berry tackles much better than both of those guys.

Carter was a bruiser, man. What exactly was wrong with the way he tackled?

I just saw the games... maybe you're talking about something during practice. That always confuses fans, you know. We just see these guys during the games.

carter's is one of my favorites of all time. his only problem in college was, sometimes he went for the big hit and forgot to wrap up. berry doesn't have this problem, he's an excellent form tackler and hard hitter. don't get me wrong, i'm pro carter for sure.

You also might have to get his jersey specially made. It just depends on if his jersey is one of the ones the university releases for sale to the public.

i've got an old jerry colquitt #14 jersey. for those of you younger guys, he wasn't a punter.

I recall the big hits, but the rest sounds like a revision.

Am I the only one that thinks Vinson still looks out of place in the secondary?

Is he playing with a separated shoulder or something? Everytime he lands on his shoulder he looks like he just got hit by .50 caliber rifle

No he is not the best.......yes he can be!! He is alot like Dale Carter only faster......he has alot to learn and where to be before we know his full potential

Carter >>>>>>>>>>>>> Grant that's how they compare.

Justin,
Wel, that's more of a conclusion. What about facts? We only had Grant two full years, and yet he's 5th on the UT all time INT list (14). Grant had 9 picks in 1999, and returned those 9 picks for a 167 yards.

I'm looking at Dale Carter's stats and they don't appear to be in the same beallpark as Grants.

Perhaps Carter brought other things to the table. What were those things?

Dynamic kick returner and he was a better tackler. Grant was surrounded by NFL talent all over that D, Carter was the Super Star on that D. Carter also came from a JUCO

Berry's closing speed and tackling are very impressive for a freshman.

Yes. Watching him in the last scrimmage, I was blown away. He was lined up at CB and played the run like a linebacker. He lit up Creer a couple of times.

He has great potential at either safety or corner.
