I'm a Falcons fan through and through and would love to see him in the ATL. But after the defensive overhaul we've had lately im not sure i see it happening. IMO the steelers need some help in the secondary BADLY. TP can't do it all. my brother in law is a huge steelers fan...... this would give him a reason to purchase an EB jersey:)

I know one, and I think both players projected ahead of him are DTs. But then again, I haven't looked at a mock draft.

As a Bucs fan, would obviously love EB to go #3.

Mcshay has Ndamakong Suh and Gerald Mccoy going ahead of Berry.

I hate to use a Kiper-ism, but Haden's character issues will keep him from ever being picked before a sure-thing like EB.

Explain. Last time I heard something about "character issues" impacting a player's draft position was with Percy Harvin. It's a real tragedy how that ended up for him.

I understand that a guy could slip after posting disappointing combine numbers or getting into trouble. That said, the number of guys that seem to move up and down in the draft for no apparent reason seems a little silly to me.
You've hit the nail on the head. The whole thing is basically a subjective guess. Were it so cut & dry they wouldn't need a draft at all, the experts who publish drivel and ratings would just dole the incoming class out. The NFL draft being what it is, is why most every year we see kids that can't even start for their college teams like Arizona's Chris Henry go in the 1st round to the Titans. Then we see unheralded and late draft picks in the pro bowl just a a season or so after coming in to the league. It's like your local kid's or high school team, the coaches fall in love with some players and has to have them out front of more deserving & talented ones.

If Eric Berry ends up a Steeler, Patriot, Cowboy, Jaguar or Texan... I hope never wins another game. I'll be rooting for him to get into the hall of fame though but hopefully his interceptions returned for touchdowns go to waste.

In a dream world he'd be a Titan. In the real world, I'll settle for the Bucs.

I would love to see the Broncos trade up so EB could learn next to Dawkins and play with Bailey.

not saying it will happen.....but EB would make the mot sense to Tampa. Even though Monte isn't there anymore, Raheem Morris learned under Monte and so did several other ppl on Tampa's staff and the "Tampa 2" still has its influences all over Tampa's D. Considering EB played under the "Originator" of that D and the decrease in quality DB's (excluding Ronde who is a beast) Tampa has seen over the past cpl years, EB makes ALOT of sense to anchor Tampa's D for years to come.....maybe not a "seamless" transition, but def. a promising one.

The Bucs happen to be my favorite team coincidentally, so needless to say I'm pullin' for this to happen.

Eric Berry will drop before draft day. His combine numbers will be nothing special and teams freak out over that and end up making worse picks. He'll make a little less by dropping but be on a better team. Also lack of film of him playing the true safety position from last year could hurt him some but I can guarantee he'll slip some before draft day.

He won't be a top 3 pick, would be surprised if he is top 5, safety is not nearly as important as other positions, most teams pick need over value.

Doesn't matter where Eric gets picked. He will handle his and have a long career playing, barring injury.

a lot has to do with what team has a pick when and what they need.
