Thought it deserved its own thread. On Vol calls last night Eric told Bob that his motor never stops because he plays Johnny Majors football.

Somewhere in Tennessee Johnny Majors is sipping a drink and laughing his butt off.

Yes johnny inforced the maxims. Phil thinks that maxim is a fancy name for supersize.

I don't know if Eric meant/really knew exactly what he said. Maybe he was just trying to say his father's roots are from Majors. Either way it was hillarious.:)

I just hope we don't see EB suspended for "a violation of team rules."

I don't think it was an intentional swipe...but Eric is a pretty sharp guy.

I think that it was a slam on the current state of the program. I am sure that Eric and his dad talk about what goes on now as oppossed to the way it used to be. These players run the program now and that is one of CPF's biggest problems.

I think he was only refering to his dad's proud TN tradition. I think we have too many players now who don't understand that tradition.

Didn't his dad play for Majors, and his dad was his little league coach? I thought that's what he said. So he learned Majors style football, yes?

Does he hit him a lick? Check.
Does he put a hat on him? Check.
Does he pin his ears back? Check.

I guess he does play Johnny ball.

He also plays with intensity, intensity, intensity.

For all his shortcomings, I really miss the old Johnny Majors show and the unintentional comedy created by Ward and Majors saying something goofy followed by the other one looking on in awkward silence.

I don't know if they are as good athletically :superman:(would have to see the film, just a joke), but they had the same background and that kind of attitude is what we need!
