EB does not have the hips or change of direction to play corner, he is a straight line runner and that seems to be his only limits phsyically. strong safety all the way at the next level

EB is the greatest db in the history of football gentleman. He will play all corners and both saftey positions. well until both his brothers join him in the NFL. By that time he will be declining and will only be able to cover both saftey positions. Evan and Elliott will take the corners then. :)

zero.. absolute zero chance of him being a corner and limiting him there. Lol at people that say his body is of that of a corner.

compare his body to Antrel Rolle, Kelvin Hayden, etc... hes wayyy bigger and stronger than them

He could have played corner if he had played that in college, but he'll be a safety in the mold of Bob Sanders sans the injuries.

he's best at being a center fielder and offering run support in the middle.

Safety and it's not even close

Put him at free safety and he is good for several INT's every year.

Eric is a cross between Ed Reed and Sean Taylor...the perfect safety.

i agree as well, he has the ball-hawk abilities as Ed Reed has and he knows what to do with the ball afterwards, also like Reed
but if he doesnt go for the ball, he'll knock your block off which is the Taylor coming out of him

so stay at safety EB!!

He is a safety, too good of a tackler to limit him to Corner. Although I could see him playing FS, but I think that he will stay where he is at SS.

Eric's versatility will land him the big $$$$$'s. So many comparison's to Ed Reed. So similar in height & weight.

Did you see his moves on that play from the Wildcat last night? It wasn't big yards, but that dude has some sick moves.

Haha. What on earth makes you think he'll be a CB in the NFL? He fits the bill perfectly at safety.
You just lost any credibility you may have already had.

It will depend on who drafts him. If the team drafting him has bigger needs at safety, he'll be a safety. If they have bigger needs at corner, he'll be a corner. He'll be able to fulfill either position. I think most teams will be looking at him for safety though.

I agree that he played "center field" in college well, and think he would in the league too. I'm wondering why numerous pro guys keep saying don't be surprised if he ends up being a corner.

He'll be a corner if the opposing team lines up with 5 WR's. That's it.

He'll probably play some corner as a Nickel or Dime back maybe if he's not starting at safety right away. But he'll be a safety for the majority of his career I believe.

Hes 5'11 205 or so. Thats big enough to play safety in the NFL, especially with his field presence and build. He is very solidly built in the lower body, and built like a tank in the neck and shoulders. He def has adequate quickness to play CB imo, but he is more fast than quick and has GREAT vision, balance, instincts, and closing speed...more so than his ability to change directions on a dime. Hips are fluid enough to play CB in the NFL, but he will definitely excell more ar safety.
