Eric Berry meets Ben Tate

I'm a Gator fan and I can't make fun of EB. Poor dude is your entire f'n defense.. he can't be in perfect position every play.

11 guys on the field and one guy has 20% of your tackles.. and it's a DB. OUCH! You lost your one good LB too tho, right?

Yeah, it's rough. We lost Nick Reveiz last week.

Berry was off bad last night, anyone notice him just sorta following the RB down the sidelines on the one play. I guess he was looking to rip the ball loose but just looked odd and he took some bad angles all night. He had to be tired playing ST and every D snap.

Yeah 14 tackles is terrible.

Yea nick and he also helped make sure everyone was lined up correctly. Thats one of the biggest losses we have with him out.

Tate played pretty well, but the play being talked about is not a good hit on Berry. Berry just took a weird, awkward angle and didn't even try to really wrap up.

You might as well talk to a wall because you would get better success out of that then trying to reason with a aubarn fan.

Oh my goodness people this is not a run over. Tate just put on the brakes and Berry clipped when he was going by. Tate helped when he felt a player going by. A run over is when a two players meet head to head and the offensive player smashes into and over the defensive player. Every opponent wants to come on here and talk about a play or two where Eric Berry supposedly does something wrong. We have our own fans saying that Berry isn't playing at as high a level as he should. Last time I checked teams are going away from him. Florida is the only team so far that have actually run plays Berry's way. He was spectacular that game and has been very good this season. He made a lot of plays in the Auburn game that were crucial and you guys need to stop thinking he's not playing at the level he was last season. He actually may be playing better than last year. But some people measure a guy's play by his picks or big hits which is stupid. Rico McCoy has got to make more impact plays. He made a lot of tackles but he's got to come up with bigger hits and bigger plays than he has.

Lol - that's freakin' hilarious that people thought that was a good hit/big hit on Berry - but I knew it was coming when I saw it because of the Auburn fans in the upper deck they all went "oooooo". At first glance (live) - it looked like it may have been a good hit - but then they showed the replay on the jumbotron.

The play just looks awkward. Tate barely even touches Berry and he's off-balance - I'm guessing Berry just guessed wrong on which way he was going.

Whether we like to admit it or not, EB has not exactly been spectacular this season.

A great player... But nothing more. He's not playing like an all american, all SEC, yes. But rather pedestrian from a national standpoint. The whole defense isn't really making plays. I'm disappointed with this team in every facet...

Are your eyes brown?
Better question, are you blind?

I'm surprised that they put that clip on U Tube instead of the play where Tate stiff armed EB to the ground. The stiff arm made EB look a lot worse than that play, a glancing blow off balance.

Out of the 200(?) tackles Berry has made in his career, i'd go out on a guess and say he has missed 5 total(MAX!). Not bad eh?? I'd call him All-American anyday. He is solid, don't take anything away from any of these plays. If we line those plays up again, and Berry HASN'T been on the field the majority of the half, I'd say he knocks the hell out of those guys

I'm a hardcore UT fan but all of you making excuses for a defensive Heisman candidate not wrapping up is just plain silly. The entire defense left plays to be made on the field, not just #14. He missed his share of plays but I seriously doubt #14 would appreciate anybody making excuses for him.
