Berry ran back a missed 58-yard FG attempt to the opponents' 30, but he was tripped up. He had a lane back outside but never saw it. Had he scored, it would have been a 109-yard TD return.

He was tackled by:

former UT teammate, Britton Colquitt.

if he had hung around for his senior year, he'd be our punt returner at this point!

I kinda wish he would have made it. It looks like KC aren't going to beat my Broncos anyway. Oh well. Pretty ironic a former Vol tackles a former Vol.

I seem to recall a few years ago, someone returned a missed FG back for a touchdown 109-yards and no one could return one farther because he caught the ball inches from the back of the endzone.

EDIT: Here is the link

clicky

Ed Reed has had a couple 100+ yard returns in his career too.

Why is a blocked FG return six points and a blocked extra point only two points (at least in college)?:ermm:

A blocked FG return is a touchdown, just like a fake FG pass for a TD would be, or a fake FG pass that was intercepted and returned for a TD would be, or just an INT returned for a TD after the offense went for it on 4th down would be.

A blocked extra point returned to the opposite end zone exists in the same disembodied, clock-less state that an XP attempt does. It's worth two points in the same way that a fake XP that was passed into the end zone would be.

Had he scored, KC's defense would have gotten 2 points instead of -4. Damnit Britton.

damn, if he would stayed outside instead of cutting back inside he wouldve taken it all the way, or if that guy knocked the kicker down instead of just pushing him back inside

Why is a fake field ran into the end zone 6 points and a fake extra point ran into the end zone 2 points?

Did you really ask this?
