With 610 votes, Berry is 4% behind Jenkins (46% to 42%)

Somebody needs to captain this cause!

All the voting for Chris Lofton last year for that Home Depot award didn't mean a thing.

This is rediculous. I can't believe there is anybody but Berry up for it...

By the stats, he's got the most solo tackles, assisted tackles, tackles for losses, sacks, interceptions, interception return yards, and interception return TDs.

I wonder if the Mods would be willing to add the word "vote" to this thread title. Please?

There was another thread on the Thorpe annoucement yesterday, but I don't recall this ESPN voting process.

Berry is the guy we fans have to support.

Berry +7.1%

Imagine if he UT were good and actually played a primetime national game... ala TT three weeks in a row!

I think he gets Heisman talk next year.... UT will be back on the national stage next year with the curiosity with Kiffin...

Berry should win. He's starting to become a bit of a household name, even among non-vol households.

First post here guys, so forgive me if this has been covered somewhere else on VN. Not only is this kid a beast on the gridiron, but (as I am sure this is no surprise to anyone here) a pretty classy kid. This came from Pat Forde's column on ESPN.com. No matter what your feelings are towards CPF, this is a pretty cool gesture.

"Special Dash correspondent Gene Wojciechowski watched Tennessee beat Vanderbilt on Saturday and reported that outgoing coach Phil Fulmer gave Berry a game ball, which was promptly returned to sender. "I'm a proud owner of a game ball we gave to Eric," Fulmer said. "He gave it back to me."
