Eric Berry Hosting Porn Event? (disputed)

I, personally, have no problem with this at all. He is a grown man and can do what he likes.

Like Sir Charles once said: "I'm no role model."

Eh, it's his life. However, he may not have knowingly had a part in it. A few years ago Terrel Owens was filmed as he was walking in South Beach and the footage was used to promote porn even though all he did was say hello to people on camera that he thought were fans.

I agree with Eric. Not a good move for a couple of reasons... (1) none of the players should be featured in their NFL jerseys, and (2) if EB decides to be associated in advertisement for porn (and clearly his decision... I could care less), he needs to realize other more lucrative advertisement opportunities may no longer come his way.

I agree with his right to do this if he wishes, and would stand up for with anyone.

However, if true, it really diminishes him in my eyes. I've always seen him as someone who had " done it the right way ", and someone I was pleased to have my 12 year old aspiring football player idolize.

I guess we'll need to reassess that.

Dont really care what he does in his spare time, but prolly does hurt his image some if he is worried about that.
But hey when I was single I wouldve have loved to been invited to a porn event,

Mickey Mantle? That’s what you’re upset about? Mantle makes $100,000 a year. How much does your father make? If your dad ever can’t pay the rent and needs money, go ask Mickey Mantle. See what happens. Mickey Mantle don’t care about you. Why care about him?

Looks like they picked players from teams that all suck, that doesn't make any sen... oh wait.

who cares? the NFL won't let these guys go to work, then they pitch a fit when the players take the initiative. he's helping host a porn event, i'm sure he's 1 of dozens of hosts, and it's not like it's an orgy. the NFL needs to cool out, it's probably harmless and the media is just running with it.

I believe their issue is using the NFL to promote it (by showing them in uniform) and not specific players

“Our legal team is reviewing the ad. In general, companies not affiliated with the NFL or its clubs may not depict a player in his uniform” said McCarthy.

Free country or not, this is disheartening and damaging. These men should WANT to be role models for children and families. Whether they like it or not, people look up to them. I would hope that they would take this seriously and do more honorable things with their time. They could do a lot to build society up; this kind of thing only degrades women and destroys families.

Eh, F athletes. They're entertainers, not heroes.
While I agree, wholeheartedly, and try to instill that in my son....he's still a 12 year old athlete and UT fan. Who do you think he looks up to.

The main thing he asked for for his birthday was an E.B. Chiefs jersey.

Maybe we'll use this as a teachable moment.
