I'm sure. I haven't been this excited and anxious to see our defense play maybe ever.

I noticed this too and was wondering when someone would post something about Berry saying Monte is coming.

Berry got robbed for the Thorpe award. Its obvious that the Vols record killed his chances because it certainly was not his play on the field.

Jenkins was a senior from OS and those Oklahoma voters wanted him to have it. Wasn't about who deserved it apparently.

Hmmmm. 2 big names? Is orgeron that big of a name? And what system would he be bringing in for the D to "buy" into? Me thinks he was referring to someone else. Who I don't know, but I get the feeling its another name.

I dunno. I was pretty excited see our D every time our offense got off the field without either losing ground or giving up the ball this season.:)

Perhaps he was referring to the number of letters in their names.

Maybe former NFL running back, Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala, will be joining the staff in some capacity.

Just admit it everyone, this was one of the BIGGEST shafts in college football history. I think we have 2 or 3 guys in the top 5 of that list now...hmm trend anyone? But come on, Berry's stats make Jenkins look like a chump. Over on the rivals main board, there are 5 + threads of fans all over the country going off on ESPN. Even USC and Ohio St fans were admitting that it shouldn't have even been close. I also want to know how Berry could be dominating in the fan voting the entire time it was open, but the ticker at the bottom of the screen during the Awards Ceremony had him as 3rd in the voting (behind both Jenkins and Mays). And I don't want to hear the senior thing either. Plenty of underclassmen won awards. Heck, Spikes and Smith both won their awards. And Berry was selected as SEC Defensive Player of the Year. This makes absolutely no sense and was without a doubt the most obvious category. It just goes to show you that a media congolomerate like ESPN can use their bias to influence just about anything...

Yep, it was a screw job. But as far as tennessee is concerned i've come to expect it from espn. Maybe the team should make up some good practice tee shirts next year. Espn yankee's suck on it or something.

Typical college awards.... has nothing to do with the play on the field... it's all politics! Just like the BCS!

The people who run college football really are trying to ruin the integrity of the game for a buck!

I was not aware ESPN had taken over deciding the winner of these awards.

It was all I could stand to watch Chris Fowler for 2 hours. Wasn't it Fowler who cracked the remark about Tennessee fans being trailer trash after Peyton got screwed over by Charles Woodson?

I had to change the channel when Fowler began to suck up to Saban after they gave him coach of the year. Another undeserving receipient of an award. If they gave it to Mangino last year, then Leach or Turner Gill deserved it this year. If you can win at Buffalo, then you definitely should be recognized.
