Eric Berry and Derek Dooley

Come on, is there really anybody here on VN that wants to defend Dools saying we kicked the sheet out of Vandy in OT? That was flat out embarrassing and you know it......I was just poking fun at Dools - quit acting like Barbara.

When Bama wins by 40, or by 1, they chant the same 'we just kicked the hell outta you' cheer. I guess it would be much better if you were the coach. I can just here it now. "Well guys, we won, but we didn't play very well. I mean, we just barely beat Vandy. Maybe we'll be a good team again some day." Is that WTF he should say?

You have not been in a winning locker room at any competitive level.
Period.

Actually I have..........and when we barely squeaked out a win against an inferior team, the mood was humble, thankful for the win, but not satisfied with how we performed.............and we sure didn't act like we just rolled up the #1 team in the country and pop the corks in celebration.

Look, I like Dools as a person - I actually think he's pretty funny. But he's not a proven coach by any stretch, and he's done some embarrasing things, as evidenced by the above. If he proves himself this year, no one will be happier than me, because that means the Vols will win, and nothing's more important than that.

You guys nailed it for yourself. DD is a dual personality, glib, funny, ha, ha, but very hard to work for. .

Sorry to doubt your word after you've demonstrated such great knowledge of what's going on in the program... but can you give a link to the proof for this?

Not that I think it is particularly bad that people who aren't getting the job done have a hard time working for him.... I'd just like to see you actually prove some of your criticisms.

Berry has a 13 year old cousin who plays and Dooley hasn't even called him yet. I bet the whole family is mad at Dooley. Unacceptable. (Lame Joke)

Listen I would be the first person eating as much crow as you guys can throw my way. I just want to win like the good ole days. When I was in school we lost 5 games in 4 years. Do I think DD is the guy to get us there no, but would I root against it for self satisfaction? Not a damn chance.

Actually I think you might be pleased if he succeeds. Some of your hater brethren... I think they'd resent it.

But my money is on you disappearing or changing your user name. Just don't think anyone can eat that much crow.

It wasn't just beating vandy, but the way we won the game. Would you have rather us lose to them like we did to KY.

If you are going to brag about beating the **** out of someone, you should have probably beaten the **** out of them; Instead of squeaking past them in OT.

If Dooley would wear a backwards cap, and waive a white towel while chest bumping, the Berry twins would be a lock imo.

Kind of like Trooper Taylor is doing the berry twins right now. I didn't think this comment was racist at all as was posted earlier.

Or you could stop nitpicking

No doubt.

How quickly people forget that Vandy was favored to win, and in Neyland for God's sake. Franklin was getting all the hype, and Dooley was getting nothing but the same sort of stuff these haters post on here.

It was a big win, regardless of how you look at it and it deserved celebration. In fact, I think that winning a close, hard fought game that you were predicted to lose warrants more of a celebration than one where you blow an opponent out.

Especially when, as evidenced by the very vocal minority of posters on this site, few people actually believe in you.

Not doubt it was a win that deserved celebration. But it is a little disheartening to celebrate like that after Vandy. There is a video of a similar celebration a few years earlier... when we beat UK to go to the SEC championship game.

Add that to the fact that we didn't "beat the **** out of" anyone.

Beef fade webb all the other "negavols"...when we win 9 or 10 games this year and you "half ass fans" want to jump on the bandwagon and talk about how great our victory over so and so is I will personally call you out every time bc you homos have been absolutely trashing every move this program has made leading up to this season. No team wants or needs crybaby naysayer fairweather "fans" like you. I bet any member of the team...kickers included...would love to meet you in person and personally kick your teeth in. You make threads on this site miserable for real orange blooded fans. Congrats on being total douchebags.

Lol only on VN can saying that it is disheartening to celebrate like that against Vandy means you are a negavol.

Don't look now but your maturity is showing. Blatant name calling for a neutral opinionated statement... Smh

The way Dools ran his mouth about kicking the sheet out of Vandy.......yeah, I guess the name fits - I like it. Next, Dools will skip workouts.......but, hey, if he can deliver on the field like Rogers, I'm good with it.

Well, that didn't take long.

U can't deny the EB tweets though.. They were real and they were directed towards DD.. EB obviously wasn't very happy with him..

yeah, he tweeted that he was upset but it is not near as large as fans built it up. If fans only knew some stories on how many disagreements happen on coaching staffs. they happen all the time with coaches working together much more than this little dust up with EB and DD.

Our coordinators have already had a big disagreement much worse than what happend with 14 and CDD
