550+ yards in each game and a 44 pt. average given up against FL and GA is progress???......

Yes, actually it does. And as alumni, i donate money to help improve the university. This definitely gives me more say than someone who buys a freakin shirt. Are you serious?

I don't think those 5 guys could have beaten FL or Ga with our current team. We do have some talent but those teams have a lot more. We played Ga better than South Carolina probably will, but it will be long forgotten by then. People say that we are right there with Vandy and KY, I beg to differ. I see 2 blowouts this year when we play those games. Just like we are supposed to do.

BTW: you have no idea if those coaches could do any better with this team. It's all guesses and speculation.

Wow....ok. If you don't think those coaches I listed would've out coached Richt and Muschamp with our players for a victory then you have drank way to much Dool-Aid and are drunk with Dool-Goggles on.

That is true, but i like to think my money is helping and has helped more than some dude buying a shirt at Wal Mart.

Another "What it is to be a fan" manifesto. Hooray.

No kidding.

I like how the idiot OP leaves out the fact that the team quits constantly, besides losing its the only trend he's formed.

Leave the fans alone, tired of seeing garbage every Saturday and then listening to a bunch of morons tell me how promising Cupcake Dooley is. He's a loser and I'm tired of his excuse filled ass representing my University. The team quits and he has an excuse, ****ing tired of it.

That's because in their mind your only a true fan if you agree with their point of view and opinion. They would make great leaders in North Korea!

Second that!!!!! Don't let the fools get you down, they'll be cheering like they never doubted

Yeah, thats because doubting doesn't make you any less of a fan. Do you not see any reason why people might have doubts?

Ive been a fan of this team as far back as my memory goes, ive celebrated huge wins and had my heart broken over devestating losses.

I have always supported this team, not because it was a winning team or had the most media attention, but because Im a Tennessean. Because this is my team. This is my home and my pride.

I take pride when I watch my team clawing their way back after a complete meltdown the past few years. Being a fan isnt about the wins... though theyre great to enjoy, its about standing behind your team.

A fan doesnt trash their team every time they open their mouth. Yes, watching lose after lose hurts, and it hurts more that our rivals are getting win after win. But Id rather be a Vol with a losing record than a bamer, gator, cock or bulldog no matter what accolade, because thats who I am, and this is the team I have invested my pride and heart in to.

Those of you here being so negative about everything week after week is showing how little you have invested in our team. The only thing more painful than the loses, is having to share my team with you.

No I dont think we will go out and beat a team like bama from a logical stand point... but I believe my team can beat anyone on any given day because at some point we will. At some point we will be the team we once were. Youre blind if you cant see that happening. Did we lose to Kentucky? Yes. Did we go out and shove the ball down Georgias mouth? Yes.

The bad comes with the good. Deal with it like a man, like a Vol. Take the adversity and feed off of it. I promise you the adversity this team is feeding off of is from its own stupid fanbase.

We arent going to win every game, get over it. Next week is coming, another chance to take our pride back is coming with it. Get behind this team or go cheer for Notre Dame or Ohio St.

We arent a banwagon team. We're a team with a fighting tradition... win or loss. Knock us down and we'll get back up. If its a number by our name on the tv screen you want, then grow up. I want fans around me that will support our team in the rough, not chastise them for the growing pains

Well said!

I was in Athens, and was very disappointed in Vol fan turnout.

Really proud of the way our team kept fighting in spite of much adversity! Dooley kept his cool and we had a real chance to upset the #5 team in the nation.

I admit I get frustrated in the moment because I want to see things get better sooner than later, but I always stand behind the Orange.....and I think the efforts being made will pay of soon! GBO!

I want the best for the team just like you. Yes, losing isnt fun. Their isnt anything wrong with demanding excellence, its the manner in which is being done.

We have what we have. That isnt changing. I never said we werent losing... i actually mentioned it multiple times. Im not disagreeing with the quality of our current product, im just saying.... we bash our team more than we do our opponents. We focus too much on hating ourselves instead of the other team. Its embarrassing.
