We are UT. After the first Auburn game I thought we had no chance against UGA. We dominated the game for 3.5 quarters and ultimately won.

No matter how good Auburn is... We are UT dammit. We will bring it and we will win this game. No more - if all the breaks go are way. Look to the Maxims... we will follow the Maxims and WIN :rocks:

This is no time for weak hearts or minds.

I like your optimism. We do have the tendency to win games we are heavily favored to lose.

I'm glad to see some of us haven't forgotten that we are TENNESSEE and we have been known to step up to a challenge.

You spend your college years looking for a date to take to the game then you spend the rest of your life trying to get women to leave you alone on game day.

That is so true, but I am lucky that my girlfriend has grown to love the Vols.We have been together 5 years and before that she didn't have a clue about football. The only thing is that when a game is on she goes and watches it in the bedroom. She can't stand to be around me at game time.I cuss, pitch fits ,raise hell, throw things,(yall are gettin the picture, right).

some of the members arent old enough to remember the Vols/Hurricanes 85 Sugar Bowl. It had many similarities to this game. One is a team like Auburn who was loaded with talent at almost every single position on both sides of the ball. Who had raked in every break all year long, who were the media darlings that could do no wrong. Keith Jackson commentated on that game and said every thing but 'what the hell is a pug nosed trailer park team like Tennessee even showing up at a game of this magnitude against a team this sexy as Miami?!!!!' The Vols gave up a very quick touchdown pass...(a long one) to Miami. Testeverde to Irvin...7-0 'canes. But then something happened..it was like every single member of the squad grew 4''...gained 20 lbs of muscle....every snap the rest of the game there was amazing pentration...testeverde was getting sacked on running plays. Keith Jackson finally admitted with just a few minutes in the 4th quarter that the Vols just may have it wrapped up. 35-7 Vols win! Auburn is a very good team much like the 85 canes....but they are human and can be beat. ASK Vinny Testeverde! :espn: :corso: :stooges: :td:

Mine gave up. Now that she's driven through Knox Vegas on gameday, tailgated by St. Neyland's Cathedral, watched my mood swings predictably through seasons depending on the outcome each Saturday, and witnessed what we are all doing RIGHT NOW as we study and comment on every nuance that relates to Tennessee football, I think she's starting to feel it, too. I haven't seen her throw any breakable objects at the TV set or cry after a loss, but I'll give her some time.

Now, if I could convince the dogs not to be scared of me and come out from under the bed while the game is on....
