I just want to say this! I read this forum day in and day out and rarely ever post, but I have to say that reading this over and over again has finally gotten to me. Don't get me wrong I am with the rest of you as far as thinking there needs to be a change at the HC position, but don't you think we have gotten the point across now? Why can't we just root for the team in bad and good. Look at the great teams of the past they went through times like this and they bounced back and returned to greatness. We will again someday. I am a true Tennessee fan and I am not ever going to cheer for us to lose just because I want a new head coach. Either your a true Tennesse fan or your not. These kids go out and put there future on the line every time they step on that field and least we could do would be support them. This continuing to batter tennessee over and over again almost puts you up there with Alabama fans. Your either with us or against us! Which is it?

So you aren't a "real" UT fan if you want a coaching change? 99% of us aren't pulling for us to lose. Sorry if we don't live up to your expectations DJ, but this has gone on far too long, and we are fed up.

I truly do not want UT to lose. Alot of fans are just fed up, frustrated with what goes on year in and year out. Not everything is a black and white as being a vol fan or not. I think "real" vol fans want whats best for the team. Clearly that is not whats being produced the last few years.

I am a real UT fan. I root for tennessee week in and week out regardless of win or loss. Doesn't mean I don't get upset with them. A real UT fan would be tired of the bashing on this team. Nothing is going to happen this year so suck it up. Deal with it till the off season. You guys expect miracles I guess.

Wow.. just wow. I didnt realize we had gotten to the point where we consider anything better than an 7-5 or 8-4 record a miracle. This is a new low. I guess we should just be like Ky and Vandy fans where that would be a miracle.

We all bleed orange dude. If you ask me, we fired Johnny Majors way to fast. The only reason fulmer is still around is because of the national championship "thank god" that he brought to Tennessee. His days are numbered regardless of what we think.

Everytime I see 1 of these threads I think...nice thought but man do you think this is just this seasons frustration? It's been 10 years of bad play calling, no adjustment defense, special teams by committee, heart breaking losses, apathetic coaching and apethetic coach excuses. I hope the Vols win every game but expect them to lose. In short I'm over it, I'm over and past until the university makes changes and spends some cash to get a proven winner and a coaching staff that is competant.:mf_surrender:

welcome btw. But you are wrong dude. We all want UT to win week in and week out, we are just overly tired of watching our beloved program fall to mediocrity. We bleed orange and if being an elite program in college football is asking for a miracle, then I guess we are asking for one. But we have the facilities the talent and the fan base to do it, the team is underachieving and that is a reflection of the coaching. Change is needed!! If you have a problem with this then go be a Vandy fan.

Oh yeah, and how dare you compare me to a dang bama fan, that is like spitting in your brothers face, you just dont do it, we're family man. we UT fans may disagree but we are family..

Well I just hate to see us in the shape that we are in and everyone down us like they did. I think we played good last night. But, when we finally play good it seems like it isn't enough. Just the realistic point is that its Bama week and we need to pull together during this week for the sake of Vol fans and our football team.

If this statement is True then WOW. Wanting Tennessee to lose are you serious? Why dont you go join the Crimson Tide fans on Bama Online. Like The guy said a "Real" Vol would not root for the team to lose.

For real you guys sound jut like the BAMA fans you made fun of for the past few years....

Feels a little different with the shoe on the other foot huh.... :)

In all seriousness, it is kind of saddening to see so many UT fans in revolt.

I hate to tell all of you negavols, but the thread starter is not alone. Most just don't post up because of the relentless bashing that most of you pile on when someone is even remotely positive of/or defending this coaching staff.

The sad thing is I never thought I would see the day when Vol fans draw a distinct line in the sand. Those that are for the Coaching staff on one side and those that are against it on the other. I never imagined a day where Vol fans would be at each others throats. Neither side is wrong in their opinions. We all have the right to have them and we all have a right to defend them.

Its almost like a civil war in Vol Country! Just thought I would never see this day come! Fans are so envy of the other teams that are on a high that they can't see whats in front of them. If our coaching staff was so bad then look at the recruits we have coming in for the 2009 season. The number 1 running back in the country has committed to UT. They know a good coach when they see one. They can't be coming for playing time cause we have Hardesty and Creer in the backfield for another couple of years. Just look at the stats Fulmer has had more players drafted than any other coach in NCAA history! Look at Paterno he is old had a bad couple of years and now look where Penn State is! What if he would have retired. Probably wouldn't be where they are now!
