ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

Is it me, or is the "if we do (whatever), what coach will ever want to come here?" argument getting a little stale.

How long shall we suffer paralysis by over-analysis?

Hold yr nose and hire Bobby Petrino. We win the east every 2 years or so. It is ok with me.

I have been a Tennessee fan since I was 9 yrs old in 1956..This game overall may have been inI the top 5 poorly coached games I have ever seen. possibly up there with the Dooley Kentucky loss and the Florida massacre 62 to 37 in 1995 with a half time lead of 30 to 14..pass play fron 6 inch line, pass in flat for td interception, 3 straight pass plays from 6 . and the more than incredible defensive play with 9 seconds to secure the loss...this game was a tour de force for the Tennessee coaches.. offense, defense, special teams, quarterback , wide receivers, cornerbacks 10 yards off the receiver..

I have absolutely have no words for Butch.

How in the hell do you lose to an UF team that's mostly losing their key players and whose offense is complete trash!?

Dormady didn't look great at all. Hey Butch, take a hint? Maybe it's time to try a new QB if one isn't working out for you.

Never in my life have I seen a stubborn coach like Butch that refuses to learn from his mistakes the last couple of seasons! He should have known this game would make or break his career at Tennessee.

I've been behind Butch the day he became the HC. I've defended him multiple times! I've cheered him on to do better but now, I'm officially off the Butch bandwagon! He doesn't have what it takes to be an SEC level HC and it's time for Currie to hire someone who does!!

Enough with the excuses to everyone who's still behind the guy! If you can't see why Butch doesn't need to be here, then there's absolutely no hope for you!

I'm completely embarrassed right now. Butch blew his chance to keep his job and now, he's fixing to pay for it.

Inexcusable!

I do...two words
First sounds like buck
The other sounds like moo

Butch did a good job of stabilizing the program, but he isn't the guy to make the next step. I for one have never liked his offense, (I don't care that it was record breaking, it had too many 3 and outs and outs the Day in a bad spot).

We need a change while the cupboard is full and the next guy will get all the credit for putting it all together.

We have a coach who is a great recruiter but who routinely has "brain farts" during critical times. How can you have the ball inside the 1 and not put the quarterback under center and run Kelly 3 times? Worst case is the field goal with no time left. He just makes bad decisions in critical times. During the the 5th year, that is totally unaccceptable.

There was definitely some mind boggling decisions made by the coaches today....but..... had the players not made so many mistakes they would have still managed to pull out a win..... I'm not defending Jones....

No coach wants to come here because we let lame ducks hold the job til recruiting bottoms out before we fire them.

Couldn't agree more.

Recruiting is currently not the problem and neither is talent. We could hire just about anyone now. Tennessee is a good job and a good coach could win immediately

3 missed FGs and a dropped TD by Kelly.

Another armchair OP post. You sir are inexcusable.

I never have commented, been reading posts for years, merely to gauge fan's thoughts. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even "OP" as you like to say.

The gentleman to whom you originally replied was quite "right" in some of his summations, at least as far as MANY of the OPINIONS on this site. We had the ball at the 1 foot line once and couldn't run it in; our quarterback made a fabulous fade to the corner for a touchdown; other than that, he often threw desperately to receivers covered by more than several players, OR he threw it off balance straight into the defensive players hands. We had offensive lineman moving before the snap, not at "bad" times rather "extraordinary bad times", and that has happened under Jones year-after-year-after year.

Butch Jones can recruit, he is a motivational coach and there's nothing wrong with that. He's simply not a great coach. For whatever reason, UT doesn't want to "bite the bullet" like Alabama did and pay out the ying-yang for a REALLY great coach.

Jim McElwain - did he win 10 in a row his FIRST year at Florida (before losing), with players he didn't know and didn't recruit. I don't think he's the best thing since crunchy peanut butter but there you go. That hire (i.e. a talented coach) was light years better than ours. And you can say "no one else was available". Yeah, well, best I recall Nick Saban was a professional coach who "wasn't interested" in Alabama, over and over and over, until he was on the tarmac at the airport accepting a contract he couldn't turn down. As far as I'm concerned, Alabama fans ain't no better than our fans when it comes to supporting your team.

Now go ahead and call me "OP". And you'd be right. I saw in person, Condredge Holloway lead Tennessee over Alabama ALL DAY LONG until the final minutes of the game one year. And I was a fan before that.

It's a shame that people can't criticize insane playcalling without being called an armchair QB. We honestly would have been better off with members from this forum calling the plays when it was 1st and goal from the 1

Ok 7
And I still think my university doesn't make a change.
And who would we replace him with?

All our problems would be solved if this guy would just improve on game day.

But clearly that's not going to happen

I think Chip Kelly might take the job.

But we will likely wait til its obvious Jones is doomed, and miss an entire cycle.

Butch need to make adjustments its not over yet...florida still not that good i see them losing games..That Josh Palmer experiment not working need to see more of Brandon on the explosive plays not palmer..Need to see more George..
