Who knows. Some coaches aren’t cut out to be head coaches or coordinators , but are very good position coaches.
I’m not making a call on Enos as we really don’t know what he had to work with as Miami is still a hot mess.
For example we know Kiffin is an elite offensive coordinator, but he has yet to prove himself as a good head coach and the next couple of years at Ole Miss will answer that question and we can see if he learned anything under Saban.
I wonder how much Weike’s coaching influenced HB to come to UT? Not great when the one making the promises moves on. Understandable in this profession though.Depends on if we lose anyone and who that is. If I recall correctly he became a hot name coaching Hurts at Bama. If we happen to lose Weinkie he could be a possible replacement
Im not saying we go after him. But he had a freshman QB that threw for more yards and TDs then ours....thier offense was better. Maybe not OC but a position /co OC would be nice.
Why do people assume that OP and others mean to bring him in as an OC. Chaney has that locked up and is grooming Tee for it when he retires. Enos might be a good get for QB coach. I think he was considered responsible for developing Tua and Hurts, and That definitely looked worse this year without him. Still not sure he is an upgrade, but worth a look especially if Weinke leaves and even better if we can get as an analyst.YES!! Let's fire Chaney!! Enos is Available!! I kid. Enos might be a good addition to the staff in SOME capacity.
Brother, you're off base. Having Tracey Rocker here is an absolute asset. If you check the staff recruiting records, since he arrived Rocker has done about as well and actually better than most of our coaches.Rocker is an absolute liability in recruiting and we will continue to be playing catch up to Bama, UGA, & UF if we have coaches who can’t cut it on the recruiting trail. I’m this environment, you better be able to do both.
Exactly. The post was never intended to replace Chaney but to add an experienced piece incase we lost a staff member to another school. Why do people assume that OP and others mean to bring him in as an OC. Fair enough. You found one. Who are the others he is responsible for?Brother, you're off base. Having Tracey Rocker here is an absolute asset. If you check the staff recruiting records, since he arrived Rocker has done about as well and actually better than most of our coaches.
Aubrey Solomon (who was a 5-star coming out of h.s.) doesn't even count as one of his recruits, but he said that he transferred to Tennessee after leaving Michigan because, "Coach Rocker, Coach Pruitt — it was the combination of both of them being here.” He also said, "Coach Rocker, to me he’s like a father figure. There’s nobody else I’d rather have coaching me than Coach Rocker. It’s unreal, because he’s recruited me since I was in like eighth grade. I really know Coach Rocker a lot, but he’s a mentor, he’s a father figure and he’s a hell of a coach.”
Here's the link. Why transferring to Vols was 'no-brainer' for Aubrey Solomon
As much as I hate to admit it Kiffin is a Coach O in the waiting he did good at USC for being on sanctions and they are now in worse shape then the vols and it's Coach Scar and Helton's faul. He proved himself at Bama and didn't act a fool like Butch. He did a good job at FAU and did his time. We will see what happens at Ole piss but we know he wishes he was in Knoxville. Just Joey Freshwater got in the way.Who knows. Some coaches aren’t cut out to be head coaches or coordinators , but are very good position coaches.

247 credits Rocker for landing four 4-star and one 3-star commits as Tennessee's D-line coach. I doubt that includes this latest class although Rocker's name has been mentioned by the media as being involved in recruiting some of our latest top gets.Fair enough. You found one. Who are the others he is responsible for?
