i'm the dolt? the dolt that saw 5 turnovers (3 unforced), and 100 yards in penalties, at least being a contributing factor in the win? and i never said don't be excited.

like i said, i'm happy we won. i'm happy that they took advantage of the mistakes. i'm happy that up 14 in the 4th quarter we found a way to add to the lead and put them away, vs. having another 4th quarter collapse, a la 2015 OU, FL, ARK, Bama.

but if you can't see the very legitimate issues that still remain from the app state game, then you have no clue what you're looking at, in regards to football iq.

that O line against Florida front 7, aTm's def line, and Bama's front 7 is a complete mismatch at the moment.

that's not negative, that's just fact, based on what i've seen so far. if you choose to ignore that, that's your prerogative.

can it turn around? sure. do i want it to? hell yes.

eh. season stats 2 weeks in matter as about as much as the polls.

the problem is the inability of the offense to do what it wants to do with any consistency.

defensively, i'll say the match ups that we've faced haven't been favorable to the style of defense we're built to be. i expect those stats to improve a) as we get back to "normal" match ups b) and if our offense can possess the ball. we went 3 and out 3 or 4 straight possessions in the 1st half Saturday night. that doesn't help your defense.
