This is what we wait for all year. You know it is. November is dullsville compared to the heart of this gauntlet. No doubt the schedule will get easier, but not the anticipation. We have won the past 2 weeks against the best in the east. Now it's time to watch our team go against the 2 top undefeated teams of the west. It doesn't get any more fun than this, excluding a championship game in Atlanta or a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Now tell the truth. Everyone wants to run with the big dogs. Everyone wants the national exposure of College Gameday in an undefeated SEC barb-wired, no holds barred, no disqualification Thunder Dome Death Match.

Well here it is, brother, here it is for the next 2 weekends. :clapping:

The next 2 weeks will be great, but the Florida and Georgia games were the most fun I've had as a vol fan in 10 years

Looking forward to this contest. It will not be easy. Give A&M their props for having a good football team. They have earned their 5-0 start. They have not faced a team with the potential of these Vols. We will be tested but, make no mistake, so will they and when it comes to poise in a close contest, I'll take these Vols any day of the week. What scares me are our injuries in some key positions. The whole "12th Man" mystique is overrated. The Vols play in raucous, loud stadiums every week. That won't be a big factor. I think more than ever Debord needs to turn Dobbs loose from the beginning and hit them deep early and often. That secondary can be burned with our WR talent and utilize the TE's as well. If its not there, let Dobbs do his thng and run from the very beginning of the game.

I really hate the way our schedule is structured and at the very least think we should have had our bye during this 4 game stretch. We could really use it right now. Our next AD needs to insist on more of a balanced conference lineup. Missouri and Georgia should flip.

We have to stay ahead of the sticks. As long as we don't live in a third and long situation all day, we should be good. However, if we get down big, then they can pin there ears back and make Dobbs life miserable trying to complete a pass.

Yeah, I agree. Ideally, we would have big dog rival late in the season near the end. One near the outset of the season, a couple in the middle, and another on the tail end.

A bye week would be a relief. I'm glad Bama has Arky this weekend, which should be a physical game itself.

"We're 5-0....you didn't have fun the other 3 games? And you don't think we're gonna win anymore this season so you can have fun then too?? You're a negavol, I hate you, go pull for Alabama!" (starts thread on how the negavols hate the program and don't appreciate that we're 5-0)

I knew it was satire. Just having fun with ya'll. I'm a realist. I know the odds, the injuries, and all that.

Not only that, if you noticed I made no prediction on the outcome. Nobody wants to know that.

Though I think you have a better team than A&M, this stadium is as loud as any I have ever been in. I have been twice and would dare to say it is the loudest I have ever been in, including the Georgia Dome for the SECCG. The stadium is built straight up and all the noise comes straight down. The Corps yells the entire game (while they are on D). Enjoy the trip but carry some earplugs. See yall next week on the Hill. RTR

In most cases I would agree with this but if that were the case this year I doubt we beat UGA. I think Eason will only get better and their oline kinda found it's identity during our game. If we played them again four weeks from now might be worse
