If you're high! These US open courses usually don't play that easy. They make it that way with pin placement and its a challenging course as it is. I think most of us picked better scores than we will actually see, myself included.

Technically I always do research once I'm hooked on a game, which happened last game after I lucked into second. I reviewed previous opens and double checked my number with my brother in law who is a scratch golfer.
