Bruin thinks he's too dumb to make it in despite months of positive reports about his grades.

Months???

I will agree that last report from VQ gave some hope here

Note: plenty of kids have failed to qualify and IMO that doesn't make them dumb.

Great list Eric!! It will be a great class nonetheless as long as we hold on to what we have and can add Evans. Would love to see him on that list as I want him as much as any recruit remaining; maybe outside of AJ. I think Jackson and Scott would be icing on the cake, but not sure we get them.

I think I have put the pieces together on the class numbers.
14 EEs
3 of them are Juco, and count in the signing limit of 25
5 of them are being back counted to 2013 under normal rules.
6 of them have signed FAA paperwork before the deadline.
The 6 that signed FAA should NOT count as initial counters because of the wording. They also therefore do not count as part of the 25 limit. Only the 85.
22 more LOI at signing day.
That's 36.
That doesn't account for GS or BS.
I think the only players that could possibly BS are the Berry Bros.
That could bump us to 38.
I doubt CBJ would chance the ire of NCAA by doing both.
Our numbers could be 30, 32, 36, or 38, not counting GS.
Depending on how far the AD and CBJ are willing to push the limits.
Personaly I think we get 36, and do not GS or BS anyone.
It is my understanding the tactics changed from 32 with BS Berry Bros, and 1 - 2 GS.
The Early FAA loophole was found, and they quickly got 6 of the EEs to sign.

Only question I have about everything you said. You said the 3 JUCO count against the 25, but then you said 6 EE with signed financial aid agreements are eligible for the "loophole." However 1 of those 6 was a JUCO.

What's crazy is we are under a month till NSD and we don't even know how many we can take, that is a new one!

Yes but it's a great problem to have. In the past few years we've been sweating even getting to our number! CBJ and staff are doing great work!

Any chance we get both AJ and Bo Scar? Just saw where Bo Scar was moved up to a 5 star on Espn's rankings. Can't remember the last time we got two 5 stars.

Grey shirt doesn't play next year but comes next spring.

Blue shirt does play next year.

Much more than that but that's the biggest

i found this for any others that are looking about blue shirting and yes i found it on Vol Nation :)

Blue-shirting: This scheme was originated by New Mexico State but has not been practiced widely around the nation. Here’s how it works: Officially, a player arrives in the summer as a walk-on. Once football practice begins, he’s awarded a scholarship. The school is allowed to count the scholarship forward — against the 2015 class — but the player can play immediately.
There’s a big catch: The student-athlete may not have been recruited, as defined by NCAA bylaws. That means no official visit to campus, no in-home visits from coaches, no signed National Letter of Intent or athletic aid.
Only a handful of players, if any, would meet that criteria

Malone, Hurd, Helm, Thomas, Wolf, Raulerson, Moseley all signed FAA before the deadline.
The 3 Juco all signed LOI, and count to the 25 limit.
The other 5 EE would count as signed to last years class. Standard back counts.
That leaves 22 HS LOIs open.
I think that's right, if not please let me know.
There maybe something I am missing, but I think its right.
