I've seen people have these with all the old 64 games on their Xbox's...where do you get them? Do you haveto download them to your PC then connect your PC to the Xbox? Anyone know how it all works and how one would go about getting them? I have a craving to play a little Mario Cart...

The first question would be, do you have a modded xbox? If not, then that's the first thing you need.

They are easily done though.......

This is true. Especially if you already have another modded xbox handy.

However, for the most part, if you use your xbox on XBL, modding your xbox isn't a good idea.

That is true..... If you forget to flip the switch or booth a certain way say goodbye to XBox Live on that console.

For those who don't know, let me do a quick rundown on softmodding an xbox.

First you need a memory card, a controller extension cord, and Mechassault/Agent Under Fire/Splinter Cell. (Or an Action Replay for 1) and 2).)

You need to cut the extension and splice it into a standard USB connector so you can plug your controller into a regular USB port on your computer. There are drivers and programs to use the xbox controller on a computer...

Then you need to get the proper gamesave (for the game you have) off of xbins.org and copy it to the memory card thanks to your controller.

Load the gamesave on the xbox and happily start Linux. Follow on screen instructions and you are good to go!

Now you can FTP to your xbox and upload software to it from your computer (including the emulators this thread is talking about).

If anyone needs more info about softmodding an xbox, PM me.

Nevermind, I guess that's if you don't have an action replay.
