Will be a massive blow if/when he is dismissed.

Would've been nice to have him. We had a pretty good defense last year without him, so while having him would've been a plus, it's not the end of the world. We do need others to step up. It's unfortunate, but if it plays out like the report says then it's for the best. Never a reason to do that. Be a real man and walk away.

Then you got redshirts and guys like Omari Thomas.

Gooden was good in 2018. But 3 or 4 guys caught up OR passed him by the end of 2019 in skill and production.
