I've always said Butch Jones had an eye for talent. Remember he also found Antonio Brown and J.J. Watt when they were 2-star recruits and signed them at Central Michigan.

Butch Jones issue was he couldn't coach or manage games. Talent acquisition has never been an issue for him.

This is true. Butch offered him when he was 145# and no offers iirc. Maybe not a Diamond, but definitely in the rough.
