I was at the game Saturday and saw the familiar #12 out on the field again expecting Kentucky to try to exploit this weak spot on our defense. Well, they did a reverse to the backup QB who threw deep to a WIDE OPEN player. Moseley closed in like a rocket on him and somehow got there in time to swat the ball away and looked more like Cam Sutton. From the stands, it was looking like a very easy completion until he closed in so fast.

And then again, Kentucky was about to score and he swatted another pass away in the end zone with great coverage and almost could've picked it off. I just wanted to say something good about this kid after his rough start to the season. I hope whatever happened in the bye week continues for him because he looked 180 degrees different Saturday. Go Vols!

Moseley had a very good game and showed a lot of improvement. We need him to be paying and I think he will be a stud in the future.

So has he just jumped Williams in the line up? I saw both out there in the nickel. We seem to play 4-2-5 a lot these days.

Coleman is a good nickel DB, (small spaces with quick reactions) He gets in trouble when they run his WR deep.

Mosley lost his job before the season started to Williams, (but I thought this was more of a experience move by coaches) more than a ability. Mosley got the position back when Williams was hurt, he still makes some mistakes that Im sure coaches are oh no...making up for his mistakes with speed.

Sutton is just a stud, making plays when needed.

Williams did not have any experience either.

2* prospect and hes going to be a stud

Emmanuel Moseley at Dudley

He was a concensus 3* player. Dont' pull some slap-job ESPN page. 247 and Rivals had him at 3*.

He was severely undersized and didn't have a lot of tape out on him nor did he go to camps. That's why he was a 3*.

If he had more tape, was about 20lbs bigger (in HS he was 165 soaking wet) he'd have been a 4* due to his insane speed alone in all likelihood. Clemson I know was interested but they didn't have the space to use up on a developmental player.

Moseley desperately needed a RS to bulk up some but UT needed him opposite Coleman more. I think our CBs next year are going to be pretty damned nasty.

Sutton is good, but lately has gotten burned several times a game and McNeil or Randolph have had to slide over and bail him out. He is really good, but not great yet.... he will be though....

Moseley will hit multiple new levels before he leaves UT . Seen this kid at Dudley, Wish UT would recruit here more often. Some damn good kids coming out of there.

He was a 2 star when we offered and there were many on VN went off on the staff for offering a 2 star. I remember this like it was yesterday. NC St was the only other power conference offer. Great to see him make some great plays as a true freshman and to see the best coaching staff in America can spot talent (sorry, had to poke some fun at the coaching staff critics.:))

Don't count out our other kids in the D backfield.

We're finally getting some DB depth that we've badly needed.

As more kids learn and gain some real game experience we're going to end up with a very solid DB rotation where we'll have basically 2 starters at every position in another year or 2.

It's going to be great in another 2 or 3 recruiting classes to finally have some good talent that we can redshirt to give then time to bulk up and learn everything before they're forced to play.

We're still in rebuilding mode for 3 more years before we get our recruiting rotation straightened out finally.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

I saw that #12 too. Thought maybe Peterman moved to corner.

Volnation constanlty changes recruing stars on players. Moseley was a 2* for a brief period of time but during the beef of his recruitment he was a 3* with some decent schools afte him.
Nevertheless he was a nice find a good player
