Interesting. So basically Square/Enix has offloaded all of their western studios. There's been a report going around that S/E is refocusing on Japanese game development. This would make sense.

It seems like they sold some really valuable IP for a song, to fund some nebulous ideas about "block chain, cloud, and AI" projects. Not sure if Square Enix is ahead of the curve or desperate.

I think theyre going to get bought by Sony.

They seem quite a bit less attractive after this though. You'd think Sony would want Tomb Raider.
