Embarrassment thread

I'll be honest: that's a loss I didn't see happening, and especially not in that fashion. I don't believe we had lost to KY at home since I first moved to Knoxville in 1985. For some reason, getting our ass handed to us today feels worse than even the GA St and Wyoming debacles.

It's simply unfathomable that, in year three, Pruitt still doesn't have a serviceable SEC-caliber QB ready to roll. Inexcusable, really. And I don't want to hear any of this "JG isn't the biggest problem" BS. You can't win without a QB. The defense can't hold up forever. You can't turn the ball over repeatedly, esp deep in your own end.

QBs accounted for 5 interceptions and 4 fumbles in the past 6 quarters of play. Oh, and zero TDs.

TURNOVERS AND UNDISCIPLINED PLAY....

If I displayed half the ineptitude at work for one month that this coaching staff has shown over the past few weeks, I’d be fired. Yet, pruitt gets a raise. It’s mind bloggling.

I grew up alabama, went to school in Alabama, and married a Bama grad...it’s hard. The hardest part is no one gives me hell anymore after a bad loss. They pity us. That stings.

Lol 2 years.... program is dead dude. It’s never going to be what it was. We are Kentucky/Vandy/South Carolina level now. Sad but true.

It's a stale program for sure. Unless you get some coaches with some grit it won't get better. For years we've always been able to score. We struggled to score since JG has been QB. I'm not talking a game or two against other middling to terrible programs.

It seems as if the program has taken a step back this year. Or maybe it's where it's been all along. The Streak was just a mirage, making UT fan see something that really wasn't there. After this historic loss to Kentucky in Neyland Stadium, the once proud program continues its descent into the bottom half of the division. (while KY seems to be trending up). Someone has to say it: Tennessee is becoming Tenn-tucky right before our very eyes.....

Me too. Two of my sons went to that “other school” along with my wife. Now they just smile when we lose.

If you didn’t write this I would have. Today is the most unacceptable loss I’ve ever encountered. Absolutely unacceptable.
We can all point to 2001 as the most disappointing and hurtful. This is just flat out anger and embarrassment.

Not really because even they are able to beat Florida, Georgia, and Alabama every once in a while.

Dude, if that is true, cheer for Alabama. They have it so MUCH better than us it isn't even funny. I lived in Alabama 3 years but have no connection to the school. I actually graduated from Tennessee so I am probably in the end always going to be stuck with them but I am thinking about leaving them. Their losing culture doesn't fit me and my personality. I am growing tired of it and it isn't healthy anymore to even be a Vols fan.

Next week is a loss. You can't win with Guarantano.

If you want to enjoy the season find a 2nd team or another hobby.

Terrible all the way around.

I always enjoy watching Army, Navy, and Air Force. Maybe it can make me feel better.

I have my degree from UT as well. I’m stuck in this Vortex of craziness as well. I went to school....high school....in Alabama.

Still you have a connection. I have a cousin who's family roots for Alabama and he never lived in the state and no one from his family ever went to the school. He likes them because he claims to watch them on TV when he was 10 and feel in love with them. Granted, I saw him stick with Alabama during their "lean" years but their lean years have not been near as bad as Tennessee's run over the last 20 years.
