I am not embarrassed but the coaching of these players is horrible. The staff makes 3 and 4 stars look like 1 and 2. Im not calling for heads but if Butch and co cant get it done than we need to hit the reset button.

Theres alot of passion, albeit in crazy misguided forms at times, for TN football. Fans have it high on their priority list of life. So when things are going bad, fans will go nutz! Im sure coaches, players, admin all were aware of this before stepping into their current position.

The main thing i disagree with is how fans are presenting their frustration to CBJ. I mean, its not like the man kicked the door down and forcibly took the $ from UT and then proceeded to sit down and kick his feet up until the ship started sinking. UT offered him the job and he worked extremely hard giving it his best shot. Worked alot of hours constantly throwing everything he had at trying to rebuild UT into something we would be proud of. He actually done a good job at improving the program but it appears he has reached his limit. Instead of cussing him and bashing him every chance we get we should be thankful for all of his hard work and if need be let him go in a respectful mannor.

But....this is UT football and with that kind of passion mixed with social media, you get what we have.

What you must understand was what brought on this statement. (even if it was true, which I doubt) D. Crockett was much less than the high flying hero history (or myth) portrays him to be. What you must look at are the real reasons he kept moving from place to place.

If he'd just come out and apologize for doing a poor job getting the team ready and not making proper adjustments, and then just let whatever happens happen, it would be a lot easier to let nature run its course. If he wants to lecture the fans and media, then he's going to get blowback.

I am embarrassed because once again CBJ has made us the punch line once again in the college football world. Trash cans, silly cliques and coach speak and poor production on the field has put the national spotlight on UTK in a negative light

I wonder if we lose big to Georgia that Jones will resign. I figure if he leaves before the season is over it will be called a resignation. I figure if we can't win at least 8 games he want be here next season.

The Nashville sports talk peanut gallery thinks Jones will not be fired if he wins 7 games. That's an educated guess.

I can't say being ashamed to be a Vols fan is a new experience.

But it has nothing to do with how the teams performed. It has always been the mindless drama queen reactions of the fan base. And fat shirtless guys wearing checked overalls doesn't help the cause either.
