Just got an email talking about season tickets and it said the stadium will hold 1700 less seats with the addition of the West Side Club. Does anyone know where I can find next year seating chart? Oh yeah ticket price will NOT increase next.

UTsports.com would be a good place to look.

LOL at the statement "The 2009 football season officially started...". It's just an ad trying to sell tickets.

I find the stadium arms race to be a funny and fickle thing. First, we tried to go far bigger; now, we're cutting seats from the commoners to go higher-end for the donors. I love what renovations I've seen, especially the brickwork around field level.

Niceness aside, if tv would show the band at pregame and halftime I wouldn't have much reason to go to the games. The seating area just isn't made for someone my height/weight to enjoy for more than 10 minutes.

Unless you have a 28in waist and are around 150lbs, the seating is cramped. I am a fit guy at 5' 11" and 180 and still feel crowded.

I'm 6'1 195 and I don't really have that much trouble unless an extra person tries to join the row.

This year in particular, I have had tons of room.

No kidding, I'm at 6'8" 285 lbs, it's tough staying in those seats for an entire game.

Ticket prices will not increase, but with the extra home game (8 total), won't the price be higher due to that one extra game?

gotta pay for the renovations somehow, they are eventually going to re-do the entire upper west deck with seat backs

I'm built about like you, and while I can fit OK, theres certainly no extra room. Agreed that the worst is when there is an extra crammed in or when the clueless bastard in front of you is scooted about 12 inches back beyond his butt she.f. Oh, and the stadium seats suck for those sitting behind them with longer legs.

The rental seat backs are worth the $$ by just protecting your butt area from your neighbors. We used to have a lot of problems getting scooted down until we started buying those. Now our seats are our seats, albeit tiny seats!

Do you ever have problems with those seats? I've noticed that sometimes, especially after the games, those seats are a mess, and some of them have the backs off, or the backs are missing. Does someone make sure they are "intact" before the games?

I found the seats too close so I don't bath for several days and eat two or three bowls of beans the day of the game. Now I have all the room I need.

We haven't had any problems, and we have had them since they were first offered. The backs just slide on and off, so they do come off some after the game is over and everyone is making off to the isle. But they are cleaned up after every game, and on rain/wet days, the ushers fold ours down before the game to keep the water off. Overall a pretty good deal IMO.

That was my height/weight when I marched (95-98). Now, I'm same height and 380 lbs (married too good of a cook...) and it is miserable. But I far prefer the open benches of Neyland to the confined armed chairs of any pro stadium. I just don't have the cash to pony up for the wide-enough seats.
