Elzy to LSU???

Just speculation here but I recently saw that Coach Fargas did not retain Toni Perotti on her staff. With the recent departure of Kyra, I had heard a post on here say that she was recently in Louisiana.
Would Nikki bring her on staff? Good fit?

That would be a huge pick up, 3 former Lady Vols on the same roster, and you have to think that some of the young ladies who had us on they list based on the relationship they developed with Elzy on the recruiting trail will probably consider LSU now that Elzy is there.

There is a strong possibility that next year is Nikki's last at LSU. I doubt whatever changes Elzy made on the recruiting trail would have a chance to make a difference.

well Nikki does need some big time help with LSU :)

That could be true but if she was able to get them back into the tournament I don't think they let her go, especially if she can pull in a strong 2017 class

I think Nikki is a GREAT coach and she had a 'fluke' year with injuries to lots of key players. She got LSU to the NCAA tourney in her all of her previous seasons as LSU and some deep runs in the SEC tourney. With Moncrief coming back I see them having a decent year next year. Don't particularly believe she is on the hot seat just yet. So a get like Elzy would be big for that program.

I know South Dakota is looking for a HC and has a solid team returning from WNIT championship with a good recruiting class. However A.Williams was making $180,000 where Kyra's AC salary was over $200,000. Doubt this is a position for Kyra but... Is a HC title enticing enough to take a pay cut from an AC position?!

I would think she would consider taking an AC job if nothing is available in head coaching. I wouldn't want to sit out and miss 200 grand a year which is what she could get somewhere. Sitting out also does not help your HC chances you have to do some brilliant Assistant work to get considered. Leaving Tennessee was a good move on her part.

LSU also Lost to MAINE, and SAMFORD, and had THREE SEC wins, finishing next to last in the SEC standings, finishing one game ahead of last place Ole Miss. LSU won 10 games and lost 21 games.

LSU can do a LOT worse than that?

She would make a good addition for LSU. And if they do get her, whenever they get to Knoxville will not be pretty.

I am not going that far with it. I do think Kyra is a much better assistant coach than Holly is a head coach. However, if next season sees inexplicable losses, confusion on fundamental execution, and the same bland excuses being thrown out, I might catch up with you.

most overrated coach ever? maybe Lockwood beats her out.

that man is a total fraud. imho
