Is there another Job she is taking (Head Coach) or she is resigning? I don't see Holly being brave enough to fire her? Nor do I think she is the problem amongst the coaching staff
Not a loss. I like Elzy personally, but as a coach she did nothing to bolster recruiting (supposedly her strength at Kentucky), help develop the guards, or contribute anything X and O-wise.
Holly would be wise to take the opportunity to upgrade with someone who actually knows how to implement an effective offense....
Heard she turned down the UCF job so if she is gone must be for a much better paying job. If this turns out to be true let us see who Holly hires hopefully someone who can recruit and has some clue about offense.
Maybe Holly is cleaning house, she might fire her whole staff and find some real coaches and recruiters. We sure could use a post, guard, wing, offensive, defensive, head coach and, oh yea, a recruiter.
It was a mutual decision. Kyra wants to be a Head Coach, and is currently on several short lists.
This gives Holly the ability to reach out and interview the best candidates before they are hired at other schools, and also gives Kyra the ability to interview without having to still keep allegiance to Tennessee.
Well Holly needs to truly clean house and get some really good assistants that can help her with her short comings... This season should've been gravy but hey better luck next year..
OR could it be that when it was announced Kyra was interviewing at UCF (or wherever it was), Holly started getting lots of inquiries about Kyra's job, so that she needed to ask Kyra if she was staying or looking elsewhere, and they agreed to part at that point?
If Kyra really does have thoughts of being head coach at UT someday, she will need to get head coaching experience, and apparently she's thinking now is the time.
I loved her as a player & as our coach - hope the very best for her!
