I saw this site in a Times article, its an invitation only social networking site. Think Facebook/ MySpace for the elite.

From the website:

Since its inception in 2004, ASMALLWORLD has quickly expanded into a global community of trusted friends and information. Members range from entrepreneurial and business opinion makers to leaders in media, entertainment, fashion, the arts and sports.

I found it interesting and more so to the maturity stage of the internet. You're now seeing more defined upper class websites such at this and theladders.com (the tennis commercial for 100K plus jobs). It also gives a platform for upper-class brands (jewelry, expensive cars, cruises, exotic locations, clothes etc.) to target their market better than they could on MySpace and Facebook.

We have imposed certain criteria in order to keep the network exclusive. To join, you need to be invited by a trusted member.

If you have not received an invitation, you can ask your friends to invite you. If you have no friends who are members yet, please be patient.

I'm hanging on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to rub cyber elbows with all the uppity people that I mostly loath in real life!!

I heard that. However, it would be fun to get into the circle in order to make fun of the folks that are serious about it.

Some predict that "Small World" is ahead of its time; and that in the future, the majority of the entertainment medium will be purely virtual reality based.

I've always wanted my own Holo-deck.

Worst job of the future: Holo-deck clean-up detail.

One game day here in Knoxville, just make a trip to Club LeConte. You will have fun there.
