I thought I would take a look at the Elite 8 field's ranking and seedings...
It it quite interesting.
Here are the latest AP rankings:
Kentucky - Ranked No. 2 - Seeded No. - LOST
Duke - Ranked No. 3 - Seeded No. 1
West Virginia - Ranked No. 6 - Seeded No. 2 - Advanced to Final Four
Kansas State - Ranked No. 7 - Seeded No. 2 - LOST
Butler - Ranked No. 11 - Seeded No. 5 - Advanced to Final Four
Michigan State - Ranked No. 13 - Seeded No. 5
Tennessee - Ranked No. 15 - Seeded No. 6
Baylor - Ranked No. 19 - Seeded No. 3
What I find most interesting is Baylor's rank and seed. I thought Tennessee would be the lowest rank to advance this far.
And by the rankings it appears that Tennessee and MSU are pretty evenly matched. That also seems to be the case with Butler.
Discuss amongst yourselves....
