Dawn vs. Tara in finals.
Media loves a good story to milk. Makes me sad to see how close we came to being the story of the tournament if we had played anywhere close to our potential and upset Louisville and then outlasted Michigan. Here's a few things made more ESPN:
1. The overcoming of multiple injuries including losing our team leader in all major categories (and only top 25 recruit).
2. Tennessee's return to Final Four.
3. Kellie's return to Final Four including guiding a patched-up team to the final weekend.
4. The #4 seed against top seeds.
5. Rematch with Carolina.
6. Keyen, Marta, and Jordy cheerleading.
7. The much-publicized post-game celebrations.
8. The potential for a UT vs. CONN championship game.
Just a lot of storylines that presented themselves if we could have held it together a little longer and gotten solid games from all our mainstays along with acceptable levels of fundamental play (turnovers, FT, layups, etc). Wouldn't have taken perfect games, just solid ones.
The recruiting benefits could have been enormous.
Sorry and might get flamed for all the "what if" speculation, but had to get it out of my system.
