Look at the states that put Trump over the top. Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, etc. These are all predominately white states that have been democrat in recent years. And today they all moved to the republican column.

This was a whitelash. White voters in predominately white states put Trump over the top.

Again, there is more to it. It's a factor, yes.


But lumping all whites together doesn't explain why Trump gained so many former Obama votes from Hillary or why so many young white votes went 3rd party instead of voting for either of the two.

Never claimed anything about morals or religion. This election for many people was about the corruption and failures of the political system.

Again MSNBC pundits saying a trump presidency has to tone down the inflammation and bring people together.

Sure didn't hear that in their comments regarding Obama the past few years.

They didn't.

Hillary is a despicable person so she depressed some of the young idealistic Obama vote.

Trump won because he brought out the disengaged white voter that sat out the past elections cause they didn't hear a message that appealed to them. Trump's message of Make America Great Again which meant Make America White Again appealed to them.

After witnessing a community activist in office for 8 years and driving a wedge between certain demographics and classes the entire time, making all of us more divided since the 1960s...leads me to believe that there's only 1 way to go now. That's up.

Well to d4h's credit, I don't like either of the candidates as well.

I just think there is a chance that Trump can maybe elicit some form of change to America's political machine whereas Hillary would have only furthered current issues.

The main themes are dank ass memes.
