Look at the states that put Trump over the top. Wisconsin, Iowa, New Hampshire, etc. These are all predominately white states that have been democrat in recent years. And today they all moved to the republican column.

This was a whitelash. White voters in predominately white states put Trump over the top.

This same electorate made up predominately of white folks put Obama in office twice.

Those states are split demographically in many areas.
