Election Results Thread

I'm interested to know, for those who went and chose Trump at the voting booth, how many actually considered him as the President for the next four years, and how many voted for him because they thought it would be funny, revenge, proving a point, etc.

the market stuff is a blip. Same thing happened after Brexit and doomsdayers said it was a trend. Bounced back in no time at all.

Buying opportunity IMHO (stocks; not gold that is).

And by no time, it was literally a couple days, right?

I didn't track it directly, but I don't remember hearing ANYTHING about the market tanking about two days after the Brexit vote.

Same % as Hillary voters

What I can't stand about it is a state like California has an incredible amount of power when it would come to voting.

Yeah but that's gonna happen pretty much no matter how the system works because so many people live there.

Ony way to avoid that would be to do away with the winner takes all system among the states' electoral votes and let candidates take the votes of the districts they win (perhaps with the 2 senate votes going towards the winner of the state). But even then, that state is gonna make a big factor anyway because there are so many districts there.
