Can't believe tonight, assuming everything holds and Trump wins out. That said, I am so very, very thankful that Hillary will not have her place in history as the 1st female POTUS.

What a blot on history that would have been.

Stop it.

Trump won because of a surge in the white vote. Nothing else.

He proved to be a genius by seeing that an openly racist message was still good enough to win the presidency.

Then explain why more minorities voted for Trump than Romney? Why would more minorities respond to an openly racist message?

It's exceptionally annoying that we have so many great women out in this country, and Hillary Clinton was who was offered up with a chance to make history.

I am genuinely fascinated by the idea of President Trump. Surely he will change his public image a bit, right? Get some training and practice with White House staffers?

I mean, the thought of him giving State of the Union addresses is just laughably insane to me. I don't hate him and in fact preferred him over Clinton, but with reality setting in that he's a huge favorite to win right now, it's just hard to wrap my brain about him ACTUALLY BEING PRESIDENT.

The host of a reality show is America's next president.

Hillary is going to win the popular vote...here comes the talking points for the next 4 years

Hopefully they dislike trump enough to treat him the same

I honestly think it will be a version of 3 parties. Republicans, Democrats, and then Trump if he wins. I don't see republicans just following his every desire. I think there will be a lot of pushback. Just because Trump may not be an establishment guy doesn't mean the republicans aren't.

Same with some of his extreme points like banning Muslims. I actually think he'll be much more moderate and back off this but if he's doesn't I don't think either party will actually support him

Negatively played a huge (make that 'yuge') role in this election. Donald would never had a chance had so many, including minorities, disliked Clinton. And the numbers show it's a strong sentiment.

Trump winning is better for the progressive movement than Hillary.

Hillary is more of the same. With Trump winning the democratic party will now move in the Bernie Sanders direction.

And I'm personally happy about that. I hated the democratic party under Clinton.

I'd vote if they did it by popular. It truly is discouraging especially in a state like SC where a dead republican would beat a model Democrat.

Yep, a true popular vote would energize lots of people disenfranchised by solid color states. This is true for people who don't care to vote because their chosen candidate will take their state by a large margin anyway too.
