Election Results Thread

We truly are witnessing something extremely profound and historic tonight. We are watching the American people speak out against the system and the political machine that's been entrenched in Washington for a long time.

If someone told me 18 months ago that Donald Trump would be President, I would have laughed them out of the room. If even a month ago someone told me this election would go this way, I would think they would have lost their mind.

Truly crazy times.

Its a great thing to see. Gives me a little hope in the American people again.

As someone that is frustrated with the current state of U.S. politics I almost wonder if a Hillary presidency and a republican house would be better for us overall. Republicans wouldn't work for hillary and she wouldn't sign their bills.

Plenty of gridlock.

If Trump can make good on his promises to help the inner cities, he might just switch the AA vote to more Republican. That would be an epic win for both

Considering that the open immigration policies have done nothing but hurt black employment I don't see why they vote Democrat.

Hopefully they dislike trump enough to treat him the same

Agreed. He was not my first choice and during this time last year, I honestly felt he had zero chance of obtaining the nomination.

Crazy times indeed.

I am genuinely fascinated by the idea of President Trump. Surely he will change his public image a bit, right? Get some training and practice with White House staffers?

I mean, the thought of him giving State of the Union addresses is just laughably insane to me. I don't hate him and in fact preferred him over Clinton, but with reality setting in that he's a huge favorite to win right now, it's just hard to wrap my brain about him ACTUALLY BEING PRESIDENT.
