One thing being overlooked is that for many teams in our league, the 3rd base coach is next to the home dugout. So, he’s still within earshot and a few steps away. For UT, nope. As we saw in UGA, the home dugout is on the 3rd base side.
I’ve sat right on the home dugout for 6 years and have watched meetings with the hitters. Particularly if there was a recent pitching change. Sure, you aren’t going to break down a guys swing, but to say there aren’t observations and thjngs communicated in the dugout is complete bunk. If Josh thinks he is the most effective being at 3rd, that’s his busienss. But, if you guys think you’re going to legislate what we talk about, I suggest you find another fence post to piss on.
