We didn’t do it. Bigger minds than fan page posters have brought it it up. Trying to say that Heupel calling the plays doesn’t detract from other areas is nonsense, and saying E being on third doesn’t impact his managerial impact is what is nonsense. Although, I will say, I wish there was a way he was at 3rd when the Krenzel debacle happened. That was flat out egregious.

One thing being overlooked is that for many teams in our league, the 3rd base coach is next to the home dugout. So, he’s still within earshot and a few steps away. For UT, nope. As we saw in UGA, the home dugout is on the 3rd base side.

I’ve sat right on the home dugout for 6 years and have watched meetings with the hitters. Particularly if there was a recent pitching change. Sure, you aren’t going to break down a guys swing, but to say there aren’t observations and thjngs communicated in the dugout is complete bunk. If Josh thinks he is the most effective being at 3rd, that’s his busienss. But, if you guys think you’re going to legislate what we talk about, I suggest you find another fence post to piss on.

LOL! Triggered?

Talking to a guy when a new pitcher is coming in is exactly the 'subtle reminders' I was talking about. This kids got 3 pitches, change up is his out pitch, etc.... In that scenario does it matter where the head coach is located? It's much ado about nothing and if I have to say it louder for those in the back that weren't listening, I can. "You ain't teaching them nothing new during the game!"

Just an FYI, GA’s dugout has historically been on 1B side but it was recently moved before start of 2025 season to 3B since they just put in expanded players area and a new building located down LF line.

The fact that you think this is a “triggered” post tells me you need to get out more. It’s a discussion forum and some of us are a little tired of the territorial pissing by some of you. If you don’t agree, no problem. You’re entitled to your opinion. When you guys try to make it personal and name call and insult is the what is truly triggered.

The topic I was responding to was “coaching hitting,” not his managerial duties. You claimed that he’s not able to coach hitting as well because he’s coaching at third.

Please tell me exactly how his ability to coach hitting has changed by coaching at third in 2026, which is a move from…*checks notes*…coaching at third from the rest of the time he was here as the hitting coach.

We gonna blame the slow ballpark construction on Elander coaching at third too?
