I don't have many predictions about certain coaches, but I will say this...

Derek Dooley (if hired) will never, ever win a SEC Title at the University of Tennessee.

We have some real morons for fans. There is no point in arguing that Dooley is not the bringer of the UT apocalypse. Minds are made up. See you guys on the other side....

You do not have to like the hire. However, you have to be behind a coach. If he doesn't succeed then so be it. We just have to take it and move on, but you have no clue what will happen and to rip on the man before he gets here is wrong.

Give it to Kippy. I don't know how the search has been, but it would be better to give someone really good whatever they want. I'd rather shell out huge bucks than essentially throw in the towel.

I've got to say this surprised me as well. I was actually afraid you guys were going to land Cutcliffe. Though, I wouldn't be low on Dooley yet. See what he does with the mess Lane left him.

drooley will be fine as long as phil is the ad. We must keep it in the family or we will become the laughing stock of the sec. Who is drooley bring with him or is hamilton picking the staff. Fire hamilton and hire phil and let him pick the staff.

It's okay to be angry at the situation, but let's not forget that if Dooley actually comes to Knoxville, he is coming here at our time of need. It isn't his fault that we are in this situation. He deserves zero blame right now. He wants to win ballgames, and it is in his blood. We need to pick him up and get behind him, because he is signing up to become a Volunteer at a time when apparently nobody else wants the job. In my view, that's what it means to be a Vol.

He hasn't even been given the keys yet, and some of us are announcing his failure. In my book, he starts out a winner and we go from there. I look forward to the day that he proves many of you naysayers wrong. Some people relish the underdog role. Maybe he is one of those people. Maybe we'll find out if Hammy will get on with it, and make the announcement already.

I will watch the games and support my team, even as they are going 4-8 & 5-7 every year.

Yeah in 3 years when he has turned this circus around is looking at a higher profile job.....wait we are that high profile team

I would like to address the old adage - "if...if...if" I was taught growing up "if a bullfrog had wings he wouldn't bump his @$$"

Where we are right now we can't wait until the summer to find a coach we need one NOW and UT fans need to support whoever that may be

No fan wants him to fail. There's a difference between wanting someone to fail and knowing they are gonna fail. I will still watch the games, and support the team...Having said that, I know that the future holds 4-8 and 5-7 teams.
