Dude, trust San Diego. He is a lawyer. You are being confused by the process. Dave will talk to agents at this point in tha game. Or someone on Dave's behalf might talk to the head coach. There is on going conversation between our side and their side. But it is not direct conversation at this point. And therefore, Dave can honestly say....hey, I haven't talked to any coaches yet. Because, "he"....hasn't talked to anyone.

Trust, a lawyer? :eek:lol:

It is me, I am the one who started all the Gruden talks. I was sitting around with some others in the "know" and we decided that we would do this to throw some real misdirection aimed at the OP. The truth is, Hart has not even thought about another coach until this morning at 10:30 AM EST. Hart is not pro active nor does he watch the teams play. He had no idea that Dooley was losing in the SEC...if you want the real truth tune into fox news.

Hey Agent Jackson, what say you that we put our best agent on this one... how about Agent 005? I'm sure he will Smokey out the lying culprit is fewer than three barks and two moon-howls.

Agent 86 might be a better choice, especially if Agent 99 helps out.

So which is it? Is Hart the liar or is it Hyams and many of you? You know, the ones who are claiming they have someone in the know that Gruden is coming or that he's made salary demands. Hyams himself said he heard Gruden wanted 5 million a year for 10 years guaranteed with another 4 million for assistants. Yet, today in the Dooley press conference Hart stated that despite rumors he hasn't contacted ANY candidates for the coaching position. So, who is the liar here....Hart...or Hyams and many of you?

We don't have donors that are capable of contacting him or anything............

I think the GOP is trying to get an investigation started about this whole situation as we speak. That should take the focus off of just how pitiful and irrelevant we have become.

In this ol' girl's opinion, the next new coach will depend on just how deep TN pockets are willing to go to land him -- whomever him will be. :detective::detective:

Regardless of what is said by a coach or school... "plausible deniability" is always in play.

Maybe Hart's agent has talked to other agents about various hypotheticals. Maybe some connected booster has spoken with a source close to various coaching candidates.

But the bottom line is... if Hart indeed has not been putting out feelers... he needs to be fired NOW for letting other AD's get ahead of him with top candidates.

I had a 4th grader at Webb tell me that Gruden was at their school. :)
Funny, but serious.
Also heard from a big $$ donor that Gruden had been met with. All of this was done unofficially, therefore Hart can deny any official contact. Now, whether there is any genuine interest, who knows.

This isn't the press conference you need to dissect, it's the next one where he introduces the new head coach that matters....the only thing I heard today was..." Dooley's gone...Blah, Blah, Blah!

If that's the case you missed quite a bit of information. Specifically the parts about fixing the "competitive disadvantages" UT has experienced for quite some time now.

This much I do know. Gruden has been breaking down UT football films in his Florida home for over two weeks now. Also, has contacted others and inquired about their availability to assist him on a college level. I did read this, but the deal is far from done

Please tell us how you know this! I'm not being smart ass, but extremely curious.

We all know its going to be who the boosters want at the end of the day. Hart knows his job is on the line.

I would gather that Hart has sent some feelers out already. "He" may have not reached out directly to a particular candidate but has has talked to some their reps though.

He doesn't. No one does. They complain about how the KNS and other media outlets don't "break news", but rather they are intelligent enough to not spread absolutely ridiculous presumptions such as these.
