The last great republican president?? A strong practical leader and got stuff done unlike the parade of clowns since then.

Reagan was alright, but the world was nervous about him and Gorby and the nuke button at the time!

Any reasonable political junkies in here who aren't sheep or children that think Ike was one of the best?

Here is a hint for you, go read up on europe (you know move your eyes from left to right and top to bottom and try to break down the big words into smaller ones) Also look up the concept of generalization...I know Jed big word isn't it? and realize that A) not all europeans are socialist and B) Not everyone who despises Dubya is anti american!

Oh yeah Zeke, by the way I meant to say, when you went into your "Im a proud republican and Im gonna bully you by threatening to shoot you speill" blah blah blah. That as a Southern man you cant shoot because if southern men could shoot then the south would have won the war, slavery would still be around and marrying your sister would be law.

See what they should have done was, get the union boys to wear antlers and white tails then y'all would have won the war, no wait you still would have found a way to b@lls it up!

The accuracy of the Confederate troops during the Civil War was remarkable. Hence, the Confederacy, with little to no industry and a relatively small population (compared to the Union) still managed to string the war out for so long.

You really have no grasp of history.

measuring our president by the opinion of Eurotrash is exactly what I'd expect from a surrender type.

Reagan's whackjob policies did more for this country, and Europe, than any president of our lifetimes.

Since you're an Ike genius, why don't you tell me a bit about his diplomatic style, which was far harsher than Reagan's. I suspect you're just a clown and basing your opinion on some kind of feel good tripe from Euro annals. "Nuke 'em til they glow" might help you in figuring out Ike.

Of course in your opinion. He was great at many things but just as awful in others. I would say he was a very good, but not even close to great.

Ike played more golf than he did anything else. Reagen was much better than Ike. Nixon doesn't get enough credit. He was a master at foreign policy.

Reagan was not viewed as a head case in Europe. He made Russia nervous and thus parts of Europe by not taking any crap. Thus the wall fell. I was in Germany when that transpired. So, I know the German (European) perspective. And listening to your way way left banter, you are European but are way off on this one.

So, name the last great democratic president.

Harry Truman had morals, backbone, and integrity. Something sadly lacking in todays political world.
