Not even the faildozer could keep it from happening. Hamilton isn't completely inept and isn't blind to the fact we will have a great recruiting class and wants to see if our 07 class will pan out before Fulmer leaves. Fulmer won't leave until 2010 at least if our recruiting stays solid and the players stay loyal. Look at what happened in Clemson, even the players were vocal about Bowden. Not the case here with Fulmer, which leads me to believe with all our bitching it's gonna take Eric Berry's recruiting class to fail by then before anything is done.

Tell me again, AFTER the Bama game, that you think he will stay...I do not care who he has coming in as recruits and the players are not here BECAUSE of Fulmer, they are here because of Tennesse Football.

keep telling yourself that the HC has no influence on a recruit picking a school

They aren't here because they are Tennessee homers, they will be here to try and win and play for Fulmer. Fulmer is probably one of the Top 5 closers in recruiting there is.

Fail, they are committing because of the other players that are committing...and I never said that Fulmer had no impact, just not the main reason...CPF is not above the tradition of UT Football

we also get heastie and another virginia WR too, when he commits

thanks for helping me make my point...Guys. I never said that Fulmer had NO influence on the recruit...it is just not the main reason they chose to play for UT

I think you are referring to Logan Thomas. It seems as if the three MIGHT be a package deal. Would be great to get them. Recruiting is the BIGGEST place we are gonna miss Fulmer when he leaves.

Tell me sir, who is recruiting that area?

So, who has the most influence on these recruits?

Fulmer usually does the last in-house visit with recruits. That's why he is the closer he is. Fulmer washing dishes after dinner at recruit's homes is one way of communicating how much of a family atmosphere UTK is. That is the one thing ALL of our commits state about us when committing to us, the atmosphere.

That is a warm and fuzzy moment, but does not answer my question.
The position coaches are much more important to the process...CPF is a good closer, just not the main reason, a good reason, but not the main

SHHHH....do not bust his Fulmer Bubble

So if you keep babbling about how Fulmer isn't the reason they come, then why even bring up Scott. Obviously to you it doesn't have anything to do with the Coaching staff and has more to do with the players coming in with the class as you have stated here...

Recruits care more about who is going to be coaching the team they are going to be playing on for 3-5 years, more than they do who will be coming there with them. Both are important obviously, but most recruits need to feel comfort to go play for someone. That's why coaches are the reason that recruits go to where they choose. Look at Akiem Hicks, he just got an offer from LSU and they have arguably the best D-Line coaches in the nation.

That will be the only road block between phoebus and knoxille

It seems like a mountain at the moment, and honestly I believe that we won't know about what is going to happen until too late and it may drive players to other teams. Coaching instability is a recruit killer for the most past.
