Edey most catered to player of all time

I said this yesterday, definitely can't think of anyone in the history of college basketball that gets the preferential treatment he does.

I do think it will look a lot different In the championship game though, which should make the fans of any team that played them in close losses this year infuriated.

Yes he will. There are 'traditional' type centers in career backup roles all over the NBA, always have been. He'll never be a star or close to it, but as long as he stays healthy he'll make a nice living as a backup 5.

Any comparison to Shaq is nothing short of comical. Shaq was a force, an intimidator who for his enormous size was incredibly athletic. He had spin moves for dunks that Edey couldn't dream about and could move on defense. Edey's strength has been his size advantage against anyone at this level, where he only had to develop a couple of pet shots. In the NBA, the party will be over.

Who in the NBA right now is like him? I think Luke Kornet might be the closest match but even he is faster than Edey and has the advantage of never having to guard Porzingis.

On occasion, Shaq would half- ass take it up court. He had skills Edey couldn't even dream of on his best day

He’ll be out of the nba within 5 years. He might get a few minutes as a backup early in his career but that’s it. If you don’t have elite offensive skill then you have to be an elite defender, which he’s neither
