His test score was flagged by the clearinghouse. He has decided to take his SAT again this weekend to try and clear the matter up. Dooley said that they should know something about Loften and Dixon in the next week.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess the Clearing House doesn't give a chit that fall practice has allready started for what... EVERY SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY...

So where does he fit into the secondary if he indeed is in? Does he beat out Waggner, or is he used as depth?

Due to all the time away from practice, I would think it would take him quite some time to be in the mix really. That's even if he makes it in. Loften could be competing for the other starting safety position if he had already qualified.

I think he's better than Waggner already but he's young. He should be a factor at Tennessee in the secondary if he makes it onto the team. I just hope he does but it will take some time for him to see playing time.

I don't care what kind of connections anybody has, how can you put a percentage chance on Loften at this point? We're just waiting to see how he did when he retook the test, right? So where is "X" getting this? Did Loften tell him "Well, I feel like I did pretty well on the test but I could've done better. I'd say I answered about 60% of the questions right"?

I sure as heck hope we know something definitively by next week this time. They are really sitting this young man back if he got that score honestly.

I may be naive but I thought things were pretty tight when I took the test. I'm not sure how you could cheat.

I was wondering the exact same thing. What in the hell is this guy talking about?

Either he passes the test or he doesn't. How does he come up with a 60% chance comment when that is the bottom line?

because 60% is solid enough to claim you called it if he gets in and low enough to leave you an out.

wouldn't it be a 50% chance- he either gets in or he doesn't? I agree that to put a percentage like 60% is ridiculous.

A few years ago Sean Sutton was caught taking the test for another basketball player. With a laser printer and a laminating machine it is pretty easy to fake an ID well enough to take someone's place.

I agree, i cheated on many of test, but no chance at cheating on the ACT/SAT, unless you count programming info on my Ti-83.

and the fact that its no just about passing, its about convincing the NCAA that his scores are legit.

He had quite the incredible jump on his previous test so his sh*t got flagged.
They probably made him retake this one in some boxer shorts in a room all by himself :lol:

I aint gonna hold my breathe.

It sucks that the Clearinghouse is screwing with a kid's future with no proof WHATSOEVER just cuz they think he may have cheated.

it's BS. they are messing with people's lives here.

No doubt. The NCAA is becoming a joke. Can't wait until the Super Conferences are completed then there will not be an NCAA.

It's encouraging to know that Ahmad Dixon was cleared because they both had same issues and kept the same company (handlers)
But it's still a case by case basis so who knows :dunno:

Agree. I like reading his material, but I'd say there's a 60%+ chance that he pulled his percentage out of the air.
