Last week, Monday to be exact, Eddrick said "Fly out August 3rd. Goodbye Triple D..Welcome Tennessee." and this earlier today: "leaving next week...So I get to start a new life."

Any recent facebook info from Loften? I really wanted this guy, but things are looking bleak. Just wondering what he is saying.

that facebook info he's been posting is BS. he's been putting syrup on Crap and calling it pancakes since June.

the day I believe he has been cleared is when he is suited up and on the practice field.

Let's see, OP is early June and he is in. It is now August, 2 months out, and still nothing.

Some random goon on VQ claimed he talked to Loften and Loften said he wasn't going to be cleared. No idea how true it is.

I'm not putting stock into anything until Hubbs confirms.

I am really hoping that something breaks loose for him soon. We need Loften and Brown desperately. From what I read in the past, Loften didn't have grade issues, right? I thought he was just waiting on his placement score to be verified by the clearinghouse. Seems like we would have known something by now...

Yeah, I've heard that before. I think its a little unfair to the student athlete and the program. These guys are possible contributors being held out. I'm sure it hurts a lot of programs besides us as well, but it makes very little sense to me.

The NCAA Clearinghouse sucks. I think Loften was fine GPA wise, the clearinghouse is just looking into his ACT/SAT score because there was an "unusual" jump. I sure as heck hope we know something definitively by next week this time. They are really sitting this young man back if he got that score honestly.

Did Loften make it or not? I don't see him listed on any UT roster whatsoever. What's the latest word on this guy? Thanks!

Supposedly, he is retaking the test today to prove that the increase in score isn't fake. We should know something within probably a week.
