Loften is on campus as we speak but as of right now he still isn't enrolled in classes.

Can someone clarify what this kid is missing? Is this a grades issue like before or just a matter of the right paperwork not being submitted at the appropriate time? I've heard the kid has the grades he needs but there is still a holdup on him getting in? Can someone clarify?

I can't help but think of Loften being a bit rusty in his football skills after not playing competitively in so long. It has been a full year already and he still may not be here until
the summer session.
Of course, we waited years for G. Williams to qualify, so why not wait on Loften??

I believe he has course work not completed that he must complete to get in.

I don't understand why everyone is getting their hopes up about this kid. If he can barely finish his coloring book to get into school how is going to keep his head above water in sports management classes. If he gets in he will be gone within 2 years. Unless he is dominate, then UT will fudge his grades.

I appreciate him staying interested enough to be on campus and wanting to do the work it takes to get into school.

Yeah from what I've read, he seems determined, or at least not willing to give up, which is a good trait. I hope it works out for him.

But how can he be on campus if he isn't admitted? Just visiting or what?

I'm not sure if it is allowed or not with NCAA rules, but he could be sitting in on classes with the hopes that his paperwork is cleared soon. I had to do that once in grad school, but I didn't have to contend with the NCAA.

He was supposed to have finished everything he just didn't get all of his papers in on time to enroll and now has to enroll this summer.

Tough words from someone who doesn't know the difference between dominant (adj.) and dominate (v.)

Well done taking a shot at a business class-intensive academic program at the University that is actually a fairly difficult major to get into and few football players are actually even in. Thanks for showing your ignorance.

Loften isn't the only one.

The scheduling system is completely messed up right now because of switching for CPO to MyUTK which dropped all wait-lists and even some people's whole schedules.

A lot of really bright kids sitting in on classes with blank schedules because of this mess.
