Buy from a store or online retailer. Ebay is not worth the risk my friend, and you get the 3 year warranty as well now.

In the same regard, the warranty is 3 years, so taking a chance on an ebay system isn't all that risky. Still, I'd probably buy a new one when the price drops in a week.

I should have waited two weeks... :banghead2:

What's not worth it is buying one off of Ebay just to see that the system has been banned off of Live.

It's not like there are ton of machines that are banned from LIVE. Odds are unlikely. Heck, most machines running 'backups' are still on LIVE w/o any problems.

Let me put it to you like this, if you buy a machine that is banned from Live there is NOTHING you can do to convince Microsoft that it is a legit machine. There are just too many unknowns to spend your hard earned money and get ripped off than to just go and purchase a new one from the store.

I've got one I may be interested in selling. It has not been modded or banned by XBOX. It is a 20GB premium that is a little over 1 year old (still has 2 years of Microsoft warranty). There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I haven't had any problems. I am just thinking about buying an Elite. Email me if you're interested.

i got my 360 off ebay last year..still working just fine for me

The problem is though, 2 months ago they banned a CRAP load of Xbox's and unless you work for Microsoft there is no way to prove it has Live capablility unless you buy it and try it out. Just not worth it to me, spend the $349 and get something you know no one has played or mishandled so to speak.
