Eat right, Run..bike..work out..swim..yoga..and die anyway. What’s your health and workout plan

With three little ones at home I’ve fallen off the wagon recently. I went from working out six days a week for fifteen years to putting on seventy extra pounds. Lost the seventy back in 2023 from diet and exercise. Got a peloton in 2024 to start focusing on my heart and lungs. 2025 has been very inconsistent. I need to commit to at least two rides a week but I do make time to throw some weights around at home several nights a week

Each day always get 10k step goal met

M - weight room 1 hour + 10 min stair climb
T - 20 min tread mill + 30 - 40 min leg day weights
W - weight room 1 hour
H - yard work (lol)
F - rest + pub
Sat - some kind of trail walk or short hike when it's not 110 degrees
Sun - rest + food prep the week.

rinse. repeat

I’m just gonna type all of this out so bear with me. At the end of last year I was away from home 14 out of 17 weeks which included my mother passing away.

I finally got home January 18th and I was as a wreck emotionally and physically. I got up to 219.4 which I hadn’t been in 30 years.

I went back to an old friend, Tony Horton and the P90X2 series.

I finally started running again, I ran a Marathon in 2023 and hadn’t run since. I did my 27th half on Memorial Day and got my best time at 2:24:57.

I do P90X2 Sunday through Friday. I substitute running for the cardio routine. I do 8 mile mondays.

I also walk 2 miles with my shepherd Sunday through Friday and 3 miles on Saturday. I’ll wear weight vest a few days as well.

This past Sunday I was 188.2 and I feel a lot better physically and emotionally.

Sorry for the long winded all about me post, but it felt good to get out, so there, 😜😘.

Curious about adding a weight vest just to my outdoor walks and outdoor activities.

I have used a weighted vest for a few years now off and on and I enjoy the added resistance. I got my first one from Academy like this one BCG X-Training Adjustable 20 lb Weighted Vest | Academy

I have since changed to this one Weighted Vest Plate Carrier and the reason I changed was the way the weights were in the vest. The one from wolf is easier for workouts due to the weights being flat.

The one from Academy the weights aren't flat against you and if you way exercises that require you to lay flat it's uncomfortable to lay down on. The other one is flat and much easier.

If you are only using them to walk on and are not ever going to lay flat on something that the Academy is great to use.
