Eat right, Run..bike..work out..swim..yoga..and die anyway. What’s your health and workout plan

I have to have this talk with myself every week. Especially weeks when I go to the gym with Freak Jr. But I learned the hard way.
When the slivers (slice jrs) were playing football I lifted heavy with them. I was early 40s. 56 year old slice wishes he’d never done that.
Past slice is always screwing me over

Hit a bit of a slow stretch the past 2-3 weeks only at the gym 2-3 times a week. Did however run 2.25 on the treadmill which is a personal best so far. Anyone have any experience using any phone apps for structured workouts, etc?

For lifting I love boostcamp. The free version is great, I just liked it so much i paid for a membership just to support them.

For running I used a c25k app when I started but I repeated weeks until I was comfortable with them
 
Sup everyone. Lost some weight this year. No special plan - less caloric intake and more basketball. I'm 48 years old and 6'0" tall. I know I've seen 275 on the scale in 2025. Been 250+ for 15+ years. I decided to do something about it in March. It's gone a little something like this:

March 17 - 268.8
March 24 - 265.6
March 31 - 261.2
April 7 - 258.8

This morning, which is out of schedule so it won't make the list (Monday mornings are my usual weigh in) - 225.4.

I've always played basketball weekly. I've ramped that up to several times/week. I can't push people around in the paint like I used to but I can move a little quicker. It helps to have a 21yo son, 17yo son varsity player and 15yo daughter varsity player that are ready to go at any time. I can't beat the boys like I used to but I can still hold my own. But all of that doesn't matter if I don't control my eating. I can't out-exercise my potential to consume food. Anyway, hope y'all are doing well.
220.2 this morning. That removes me from the class 1 obese category and places me into the overweight category. Haven't seen the 2-teens in 20+ years. That's next.
 
So one of the regulars is someone that looks very familiar. She young and I’m old so I asked if Ginger and I might know her parents. That’s not it. Anyway today in class I figured it out.
I said “I think I figured it out”
she said “what”
I said “where I know you from “
she said “oh really, where”
I said “didn’t you just win a gold medal in the Olympics for weight lifting….I believe you just set a new world record too”
She said “oh that, ya that’s me”.

I’m telling yall this class isn’t easy.
